Can I settle in Shanghai directly after graduating from Master of Arts?

Master of Chinese studies cannot settle directly in Shanghai. To study and settle in Shanghai, five conditions must be met:

1. Studying in a foreign university and obtaining a doctorate, the cumulative study time is generally not less than 1 year. If you are a graduate of Sino-foreign cooperative education or joint training, the cumulative study time abroad is generally not less than half a year.

2. Obtain full-time undergraduate, bachelor's and above degrees in domestic double-class construction universities (directly under the Chinese Academy of Sciences and postgraduate training units refer to double-class construction universities), and obtain master's degrees in foreign universities. Or get a full-time undergraduate degree, bachelor's degree or above in a non-double first-class construction university in China and a master's degree in a high-level university abroad. Or go to a foreign university to study undergraduate or master's degree.

3. Get a bachelor's degree in a foreign high-level university.

4. After obtaining a master's degree or above in China or obtaining the qualifications for professional and technical positions at associate senior level or above, study and be a visiting scholar in foreign universities or scientific research institutions 1 year.

5. Other persons who do not meet the second and third conditions, but have obtained a bachelor's degree or a master's degree in a university outside the country (territory).
