About the camera function on iPhone

Capture video with quick recording.

With the quick recording function, you can record video without leaving photo mode. Fast recording is available on iPhone XS, iPhone XR and later models.

Press and hold the shutter to record video.

When you open the camera application, you will see the default photo mode. Tap the shutter button to take a picture. Then tap the arrow to adjust options, such as flash, live photo, timer, etc.

If you want to record a fast video, just hold down the shutter button. * Release this button to stop recording.

In iOS 14, you can hold down any volume button to capture fast video. If you have enabled "Take a snapshot of continuous shooting with the volume up button", you can take a quick video with the volume down button.

To record video continuously without pressing the shutter button, slide the shutter button to the right and then release it. After locking the video recording, a shutter button will appear on the right; During video recording, tap this button to take still photos. If you are ready to stop recording, please click the record button.

Slide left to enter continuous shooting mode.

Slide and hold the shutter button to the left to take multiple photos in succession, and then release the shutter button to stop.

In iOS 14, you can press the volume up button to take photos in continuous shooting snapshot mode. Just go to settings > camera and turn on "take a snapshot of continuous shooting with the volume up button".

* To record video with custom resolution, stereo audio and audio scaling, please switch to video mode.

Look at the picture outside the viewfinder

The Camera interface has been redesigned to display images outside the viewfinder. This can help you decide whether you need to retake the scene or switch to another camera on the iPhone to take better photos.

When using a wide-angle (1x) camera, the viewfinder will also display the picture of an ultra-wide-angle (0.5x) camera. Click the ".5" button to switch to the super wide-angle camera. If you use iPhone 1 1 or iPhone 1 1 Pro, you can also see the view of a wide-angle (1x) camera outside the viewfinder when you use a telephoto (2x) camera.

Adjust focus and exposure

Before taking a picture, the camera will automatically set the focus and exposure, and the face detection function will balance the exposure of multiple faces. In iOS 14, you can use the exposure compensation control function to accurately set and lock the exposure for the upcoming shooting.

Just click the arrow, then click and adjust the exposure level. The exposure will remain locked until the next time you open the camera application.

IPhone 1 1, iPhone 1 1 Pro and newer models provide exposure compensation control function.

Take a selfie in the mirror.

In iOS 14, you can take a selfie in the mirror, just like what you see in the camera frame. To turn on the mirror front camera, go to settings > camera, and then turn on this setting.

The "Mirror Front Camera" function is available on iPhone XS, iPhone XR and new models.

Taking pictures is faster.

In iOS 14, you can use "camera speed first" to modify the image processing mode, so that you can take more photos when you quickly press the shutter button.

To turn off this feature, go to settings > cameras > photography speed priority. IPhone XS, iPhone XR and newer models provide the function of "taking photos first"

Make your photos and videos look just right.

With the Photos application in iOS 13 and later, you can have better control over editing functions. You can now adjust the intensity of all editing tools and filters. You can also use the same tools to edit photos, such as cropping, rotating and applying filters to edit videos.
