What is a close-up photo?

Close-up is a way to shoot people's faces, parts and details of objects, ignore the background and highlight the subject.

Because of its small framing range and single picture content, it can make the performance object stand out from the surrounding environment and produce clear visual image and emphasized effect. Close-up can show the subtle emotional changes of the characters, reveal the instantaneous movement of the characters, and make the audience strongly infected visually and psychologically.

Close-ups put the subject in the picture, and the outline and expression of the subject are clearly and densely exposed in the lens, especially when depicting a certain part of the character image, which can highlight the unique and individual beauty of that part.

For example, facial expressions that can reflect emotions, sexy lips, slender hands and so on. Because of this, close-up is also a way for photographers to portray models in fashion photography.
