The world's longest narrow-gauge forest railway with small forest trains.

The small forest steam train of Xinglong Forestry Bureau in Heilongjiang Province is the longest narrow-gauge forest railway in the world so far, which is a witness to the development of forest industry.

This railway was built at 1953 by the Sixth Engineering Team of the Engineering Company of China Forestry Department. At that time, it was built to the west in Wubapao Town, Tonghe County. The total length of the main line is 188. 14 km, and the total length of the branch lines and private lines is 54 1. 17 km, passing through 24 stations, 9 forest sites and 9 forest sites. It has a history of over 50 years. Together with the forest railway, they have built a unique scenery in Xinglong forest area. The 28-ton steam locomotive has a top speed of 35 kilometers per hour and a constant speed of 25 kilometers. It uses steam as power and raw coal as fuel. The coal-water loading capacity is large, with water loading capacity of 5.2 tons and coal loading capacity of 2.7 tons, which is suitable for long-distance transportation. There is a driver and two firemen in the locomotive, who regularly clean the furnace and add water. Water supply stations have been set up at all stations. The track width of the small train is 762 mm, and each track is 10 meter long, with less than 200 sleepers per kilometer and 3 sleepers per meter. However, with the deepening of forestry reform, forest railway transportation has been replaced by automobile transportation theory, and the pride of forest transportation has retreated to the second line, but it has left an initial aftertaste for the people. Nowadays, with the development of tourism in our bureau, the pride of this forest area once again goes into battle and makes further contributions to the development of the forest area. At the same time, with the long whistle of the small train, the forest area can develop more vigorously.

Huanan Forestry Bureau in Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province, China is still operating a forest railway that still uses steam locomotives. Now it transports coal instead of wood. This is the only 762mm narrow gauge forest train in the world that specializes in coal transportation.

It is called "one of the best preserved small steam cars and narrow gauge lines in the world" by German steam engine experts, and praised as "world-class tourism treasure" by experts from the Tourism Resources Evaluation Group of China Academy of Sciences.

With the continuous strengthening of forest environmental protection and the improvement of people's awareness of greening in recent years, the forest train has completed its historical mission and is being transformed into a special forest railway tourist line.

2014,654381October 3, 16 years later, it was officially opened to traffic.
