Lu Cui’s personal works
She said in "a few prefaces" that she was very grateful to the People's Daily Publishing House for its willingness to publish this little book for her.
She said humbly: "I am not a writer, and I have never thought of publishing a book by myself. If it were not for the encouragement of several old comrades, my relatives and comrades from the People's Daily Publishing House, and support, I would not have the courage to do so, and it was only when I was collecting manuscripts and materials for publishing a book that I deeply felt that there were so many things I had experienced in my life and people I knew and admired. But I have written down so little, more and less, and the contrast is so great that it makes me feel ashamed and guilty. Now, limited by time, age and energy, as well as the difficulty of finding materials, it is difficult to make up for it. Because of the small number of manuscripts, an idiom came to mind: "Few are like morning stars", so the title of the book is "Morning Star Collection". However, there is a morning star among the morning stars, which foretells the coming of the dawn. In other words, it foretells that the long dark night is about to pass. , the bright day is coming. Didn’t many people and things I wrote about play such a role in history? It’s just that I didn’t write enough. I wrote this book with a feeling of shame. I am dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the "December 9" Movement, to the Chinese sons and daughters across the century, and to all my comrades, comrades, and relatives who care and support me. I am here to give you my advice. ·A personal experiencer and survivor of the 9th Student Movement. She was one of the backbones of the "December 9th" student movement, a national hero and a female warrior of the Chinese revolution. She played a great role in publicizing the Communist Party's anti-Japanese principles and policies internationally.
The cover and back cover of Volume 1, Issue 6, of "Popular Life" on December 21, 1935, show Lu Cui on a platform outside Xizhimen on the day of the "December 9th" movement. Photo of holding a large trumpet and speaking to students and citizens. At that time, Mr. Zou Taofen didn't know who the female student was, but after receiving these two photos from someone, he thought they were representative and symbolic, so he adopted them and added "People, rise up!" on the cover. "This slogan. No one expected that these two photos would become the most representative photos of the “December 9th” movement, and would be widely used in later relevant books, periodicals and exhibitions. It’s a pity that I still don’t know who took these two photos? Although signed "Wan Li", this is obviously not the photographer's real name. The old man Lu Cui, like a morning star, is shining brightly, facing the miserable wind and rain, facing the light, and the setting sun is infinite, but still stubbornly stands tall in the land of China where she was born and raised, and which has brought her glory and misfortune.
Seventy-seven years ago, Lu Cui described with tears and shouts every word during the second march of the "December 9" movement, that is, on the 16th, she herself was arrested by the patrol police and later " "Release" (originally published in the second issue of "Juemin Bao", December 27, 1935).
As the cross-century old lady Lu Cui, she is a morning star, a bright morning star; she is like a tall and straight green pine in the cold; she is also a shining "living fossil of history". Standing next to her, I suddenly realized that history is so close to us, so close... Originally published in "Party History Expo" Issue 5, 2013. After the famous writer Liu Baiyu received Lu Cui's "Morning Star Collection", he wrote back to Lu Cui sincerely and poetically: It was from then on that our generation of intellectuals rushed into the turbulent trend and participated in the truth. The great and magnificent cause of creating a new China. We are survivors and victors, and we have not lived to this day in vain. When we are old, we are lucky to hear the great bell of the 21st century. But I am holding your book and reading your book, and my heart is trembling! I salute the 21st century!
