"I can only use photography to help the poor ..." —— Alex Bernasconi's Golden Pit Complex

On June 65438+ 10/0, the "Alex Bernasconi Photography Exhibition" was held in the Municipal Cultural Palace, in which the works about Longsheng Jinkeng and Longji attracted many audiences. 10 years ago, Jinkeng was still an isolated bungalow with no electricity and no access. It was the TV documentary Dragon Ridge that made it the focus and accelerated its development. Now any farmer in Longsheng Jinkeng can say that Li Yashi, the planner of Longji, is well known.

Comrade Alex Bernasconi is a photographer in Guilin. 1968 enlisted, 1969 began to be a full-time photographer in the army. 1983, Alex Bernasconi was transferred to the news department of the Propaganda Department of Guilin Municipal Committee, and later transferred to Guilin TV Station as the director of the special department. Comrade Alex Bernasconi loves Guilin's landscape. For more than 30 years, he has traveled all over Guilin, and his footprints are all over the surrounding rural cottages.

1In May, 994, the TV crew led by him went into Longsheng Longji for the first time and filmed the TV documentary Dragon Ridge reflecting the Hope Project. At that time, Jinkeng was an extremely poor bungalow with no roads and electricity, and most villagers still lived in poverty. The film crew finished the film after months of hard shooting. The broadcast of the feature film "Dragon Ridge" has caused great shock in the whole country, and voluntary donations for poverty alleviation are increasing day by day. During the filming of the feature film, Alex Bernasconi also filmed a group of photographic works "Days of the Mountain" which fully reflected the scenery and folk customs of Jinkeng terraced fields, and was also well received by Guilin TV. Then the professional magazine China Photography published his "Golden Pit, Poetry and Painting in My Heart" in four pages, which once again attracted the attention and creative enthusiasm of film friends at home and abroad.

During 1999, Longsheng Jinkeng Terrace became a well-known photography base and tourist hotspot in China, and Alex Bernasconi naturally became the "first person to shoot Jinkeng". In the golden solar term, his mobile phone will be blown up, and almost all photographers in the film industry look for him as a guide. Once he took 10 Guangdong friends to create in Jinkeng; When the peers saw the poor living conditions of the local villagers, they all gave generously. At that time, a * * * sponsored more than 30 poor students to go to school. Some students who have received seniority subsidies have now graduated from secondary technical schools.

"I am a journalist, and it is our bounden duty to help the poor. I can only use photography to help the poor ... The development of Jinkeng is the most gratifying thing in my life. " Alex Bernasconi said.

During his 40-year photography career, Alex Bernasconi's works have been selected for the whole army, the National Fine Works Exhibition, the Hong Kong International Photography Salon Exhibition, the Singapore International Salon Exhibition and the Hasselblad Professional Camera International Slide Show. The TV prose film "Father of Lijiang River" requested by the Literary and Art Department of Guilin TV Station won the first prize of the 2002 National TV Art Film Golden Eagle Award.

Alex Bernasconi let photography tell the world.

I know Mr. Alex Bernasconi because of Longsheng Jinkeng in Guangxi. Jinkeng is a beautiful place. When I learned about Mr. Alex Bernasconi's life bit by bit, there was no sunshine in the pit, it was raining lightly, and the terraces and streams were shining. The mountain wind is blowing head-on, which makes people feel deeply.

It was an evening without sunset, and I stayed with the interview team in Qinyuan Building, a terraced field in Jinkeng. I put down my luggage and found Alex Bernasconi. More precisely, I found Mr. Alex Bernasconi's photographs. These works are posted on the screen that you can see when you enter the door, and are called the photographic commemorative collection of Li Ya Shi Jin keng, a poem and painting in my heart. These are beautiful paintings, soft and concise, and the names are just right. The author's thoughts are displayed one by one in the painting, which makes me happy, purified and the true meaning of life. The ridge terraces in the paddy field make her as transparent as spring rain.

Mirror, charming and enchanting. Facing her, I can feel the fragrance of the fields brought by the mountain wind. The white clouds in "A Journey to the Shanzhai" are as thin as gauze, light and quiet. White clouds floated slowly from the top of the terraced fields in the distance, as gentle as a girl who just woke up from a dream. The rice fragrance of "golden rice fragrance" is actually attacking people. On the screen, the sun overflows, the rice fragrance overflows and the harvest overflows. The storm of harvest swept through every corner of Jinkeng terraced fields, making people feel the heavy joy and weight of Jinkeng Longji terraced fields. In the silent snow, Longji terraces are white, Jinkeng Shanzhai is white, and the wooden building where Yao people live is also white. No one bothers anyone, terraces and stockades are sleeping, sleeping like babies. The terrace in winter is the eternal theme of hometown and home. The masculinity and femininity it embodies complement each other, which is natural and harmonious and fascinating. I exclaimed in my mind, who is Alex Bernasconi? Why does the spectacular and vivid curve of Jinkeng Terrace shine in his photography? Doubtful eyes turned to Professor Wang, the organizer of our trip. Professor Wang said he was a famous photographer and TV photographer in Guilin. His early photography theme was military culture, and later he took up local photography. His photography career has lasted for more than 30 years, so that more than 200 works have been published in large-scale picture books, People's Pictorial, People's Liberation Army Pictorial and other magazines. Many works have been selected for the People's Liberation Army Film Festival, National Film Festival, Hong Kong International Photography Salon Exhibition, Singapore International Salon Exhibition and Hasselblad Professional Camera International Slide Show. 1994 entered Jinkeng to shoot the TV documentary "Dragon Ridge" reflecting the Hope Project, and since then, it has formed an indissoluble bond with Jinkeng Terrace. He used the lens to interpret the beautiful natural scenery and rich humanistic connotation of Jinkeng terraced fields. The series of works he shot in Jinkeng reached the same level as his photography in Jinkeng to help the poor.

From 65438 to 0994, Mr. Alex Bernasconi entered the Jinkeng Terrace with the mission of filming the TV documentary Dragon Ridge reflecting the Hope Project, and was deeply shocked by the unparalleled beauty of the Jinkeng Terrace. At the same time, it was also shocked by the hard life of Yao Hong in Jinkeng. He found this place a photographer's dream and a paradise for photography.

He stayed in Jinkeng Terrace for a while, and one shot was 10. In the morning, he waits for the sunrise and other "balcony morning songs"; At noon, he skillfully filmed "Pastoral Summer"; At dusk, he waited for the man or boy who returned to the pasture and took an emotional picture of "Dream Pastoral". Since then, Mr. Alex Bernasconi has forged an indissoluble bond with Jinkeng Terrace. At that time, the income of a jinkeng person was less than 1000 yuan a year; Jinkeng people go to the village once, and it takes fifteen or six hours to climb mountains and mountains. Usually get up at two or three in the middle of the night, go to the village at noon, go back when you are done, and get home at midnight. If someone in the stockade is unfortunately seriously ill and several men take turns carrying him to the township hospital, it will often delay the best rescue opportunity.

Mr. Alex Bernasconi knows that if Jinkeng Terrace becomes a world-famous tourist attraction, cheat people can directly improve roads, water, electricity and even economic income through tourism, a gold industry. Therefore, he came up with the idea of photography to help the poor. He wanted to tell the world through photography that the golden pit is a beautiful and changeable place. In order to photograph the beautiful scenery of Jinkeng Longji Terrace and spread the beauty of Jinkeng Terrace, Mr. Alex Bernasconi traveled back and forth to this magical and beautiful land several times a year to the same scenic spot until he photographed his satisfactory works. From 1994 to 2004 and 10, photographing the terraced fields in Jinkeng has been a recurring theme of Mr. Alex Bernasconi. He brought a musical melody to the audience with the help of harmonious composition and colorful and natural pictures. Spring is full of water, summer is full of fragrance, Qiu Lai golden rice is fragrant, and the winter solstice is snowy, which is simply an earth-shaking change and a wonderful photographic re-creation. A season, a color, a charm.

After Mr. Alex Bernasconi's terraced scenery and folk works shot at the Dragon Ridge in Jinkeng were broadcast on TV and published in China Photography, the terraced fields in Jinkeng became famous, and photographers and literati from all walks of life came in droves. As a cradle for photographers and a paradise for travelers, the Golden Pit began to change. This change is very wonderful. Numerous tourists from home and abroad came to Wan Li with beautiful photos of Jinkeng terraced fields. This has opened up broad prospects for improving the environment of the Golden Pit and improving the living standards of the people in Yao Hong. Developing local family tourism of the Yao nationality helps the Yao people get rid of poverty and get rich, which also brings good luck. Because the beauty of photography is intuitive, the masculinity displayed by the terraces in Jinkeng is really charming.

With the deepening of the interview, I found that Mr. Alex Bernasconi's photographs can be seen everywhere in the golden pit. Many people in Jinkeng have posted pictures of Mr. Alex Bernasconi inside and outside their wooden buildings. With reverence, I bought a copy of My Heart's Poems and Paintings Li Ya Shi Jin keng Photography Commemorative Collection from a girl dressed in Red Yao. The cover is golden rice in autumn in Jinkeng, and the back cover is a photo of Mr. Alex Bernasconi wearing a phoenix crown to shade the sun.

Dressed up, the red Yao girl looked down at my heart's poems and paintings, and Li Yashi's photo commemorative collection of the golden pit, and introduced me that Alex Bernasconi was one of the first photographers to come to their golden pit and could take TV and photos. I asked her why every family likes to post photos of Mr. Alex Bernasconi. She said that in order to remember and publicize their golden pit, I understand why Mr. Alex Bernasconi is widely respected in the golden pit.

In a local hotel named "Three Trees", Mr. Alex Bernasconi's Jinkeng Photography Exhibition quietly tells the story of Jinkeng Terrace and Mr. Alex Bernasconi's story, which is beautiful. Mr. Alex Bernasconi comes to the Golden Pit several times a year. Every time he comes, he lives in the "Three Trees". At that time, "Three Trees" was not called "Three Trees", but the home of an ordinary Red Yao people. The arrival of Alex Bernasconi brought hope to the beautiful and poor gold mine. A photo and a story, in the heart of the gold liar, everyone has a steelyard.

The photography of the Longji terraced fields in Jinkeng lured Mr. Alex Bernasconi for ten years until his death.

From illness to death, Mr. Alex Bernasconi has been worried about the Golden Pit and attached to the Dragon Ridge. Because he was lonely since childhood, he knew the hardships of economic poverty and the coldness of the world. After he took the last photo he could take in his life, his love for Jinkeng terraced fields made him decide to sleep here after his death. He wants to see the sun shining round and round on the terraced fields of Jinkeng, as beautiful as the dragon ridge of Jinkeng.

From June 5, 2004 to February, 2004, Mr Alex Bernasconi's body was transported to Jinkeng under the escort of relatives, friends and people from all walks of life. After that, he was buried near the observation deck No.2 of Jinkengtai, and he continued to pay attention to the Jinkeng where he took photos to help the poor and the people of Yao Hong who were troubled by his dreams. His tombstone is made of gray marble and looks like a piece of film that has just been pulled out. The film of the stone carving seems to be waiting for its owner, Mr. Alex Bernasconi, to put it into the camera, and it seems to have just been developed from the darkroom, waiting for its owner, Mr. Alex Bernasconi, to pull it out one by one to see the film-an original and thoughtful monument. The inscription is only 200 words, which summarizes the essence of Mr. Alex Bernasconi's lifelong pursuit and is admirable.

The scene of Mr. Alex Bernasconi's ashes being buried in Jinkengtai is very touching. When I came to Jinkeng for an interview, Yao Hong, the most common woman in Jinkeng, also told me an indelible impression on her. Those who came to pay their respects included relatives and friends of Mr. Alex Bernasconi before his death, and villagers in Jinkeng.

I heard that Mr. Alex Bernasconi's tomb was buried near the observation deck No.2 in Jinkeng, so I abandoned all interviews and went straight to Mr. Alex Bernasconi's tomb. Mr. Alex Bernasconi's cemetery is backed by Jinkeng Longji Terrace, in front of which is Jinkeng Longji Terrace. On a clear day, you can see far away, and you can see the long stone road crossing the terraced fields and entering the clouds. At harvest time, you can also watch the dressed women of Hongyao walk into the terraced fields layer by layer and walk on the rice waves. In front of Mr. Alex Bernasconi's grave, I was silent, watching and wandering, remembering with respect to Mr. Alex Bernasconi and regret that I couldn't communicate. I presented a bunch of green Pteris and rape flowers from Huang Chengcheng, which were collected from the Longji terraced fields in Jinkeng. I think he will like it.

......

I remember the sunny day when we left the golden pit. I think that must be Mr Alex Bernasconi's smile in another world. Because today's jinkeng not only has roads, electricity and water extending in all directions, but also can travel, and people from all over the world come to visit it every day. They carry different travel bags, take different camera equipment, speak different spoken languages and live in a wooden building with similar structure. Then, enjoy watching and shooting. I counted it casually, and more than 20 of the dozens of households in Tiantouzhai interviewed about our life opened Yao Hotel. There are Dazhai, Xiaozhai and Zhuang Jie ... It is said that a Yao hotel has an annual income of 10,000 yuan. The rise of Yao family tourism not only promotes the development of Yao family catering industry, but also promotes the trade exchange of traditional handicrafts of Yao family. This is Mr Alex Bernasconi's wish to help the poor through photography.

With the spread of Mr. Alex Bernasconi, countless photographers and the local government, the Longji terraced fields in Jinkeng, Longsheng, Guangxi entered a golden age.
