What does a complete set of surveillance camera equipment include?

Including: camera, camera power supply, camera bracket, signal cable, power cable, hard disk recorder, hard disk, monitor.

A typical closed-circuit surveillance system mainly consists of four major parts: camera part, transmission part, control and recording part, and display part.

Camera part

The camera part is the frontier part of the TV surveillance system and the "eyes" of the entire system. When the area to be monitored is large, a zoom lens can be installed on the camera to make the camera's observation distance farther and clearer; the camera can also be installed on an electric pan/tilt, which can drive the camera to carry out operations. Horizontal and vertical rotation allows the camera to cover a wider angle. In some cases, especially in outdoor applications, in order to prevent dust, rain, high and low temperatures, corrosion, etc., the camera and its lens should be equipped with a special protective cover, and even the gimbal should be installed. There are corresponding protective measures.

Transmission part

The transmission part is the image signal path of the system. Generally speaking, the transmission part only refers to the transmitted image and sound signals. At the same time, since a control center is required to control cameras, lenses, pan-tilts, etc. through the console, the transmission system also includes the transmission of control signals.

In terms of transmission methods, video cable transmission is generally used for short distances, coaxial cable transmission is generally used for distances not exceeding one or two kilometers, and optical fiber transmission can be used for longer distances. For long-distance transmission, video signal amplification, image signal correction and compensation equipment is also required.

Control and recording section

The control and recording section is responsible for controlling the camera and its auxiliary components (such as lens, pan/tilt), and recording images and sound signals. The technology of hard disk video recorders has developed relatively well. It can not only record images and sounds, but also includes functions such as picture splitting and switching, PTZ lens control, etc. It basically replaces the picture switcher, picture splitter, and PTZ control used in the past. devices, lens controllers and other products. If the customer requires very convenient control of the pan/tilt and lens (especially the high-speed dome), a control keyboard can be added.

Display part

The display part generally consists of several or more monitors. Technologies such as LCD, plasma, and DLP large screens are gradually replacing traditional CRT monitors. When the number of cameras is not large and the requirements are not very high, usually the monitor can be directly connected to the hard disk video recorder. If there are a large number of cameras and complex switching of images on multiple monitors is required, a "matrix" must be equipped to achieve this. Special monitors are more expensive. In order to save money, ordinary TVs can also be used instead. However, TVs are not suitable for being turned on 24 hours a day, and the failure rate will be very high all year round.
