"Why can an art Petri dish run? In fact, I have grasped a core, which is' truth', truth. In the studio of Wuping University, Zhang Weilun, the director of the 435 Art Petri dish, sat on the sofa with real light in his eyes, as pure as a child.
The art Petri dish is located in the artist's studio of Banqiao 435 Art and Culture Special Zone. Formerly known as Banqiao Tufu Association Training Center Dormitory Group. The once serious military discipline is now filled with free art. In the standardized space, artists live next to each other, but they are always busy with personal creation and preparation of feedback plans.
"Every once in a while, people will sit down and chat and think,' Why are we creating here today? Why do we choose art as our work? So we went back to how we received art education when we were young. Zhang Weilun mentioned that the courses of art education in Taiwan Province Province are mostly based on technology, focusing on finished products and achievements. Parents always expect their children to bring back beautiful works from art classes, not the thinking and understanding behind them. However, children's creativity and imagination should not stay in "learning" techniques and forget the fun of creation.
A variety of reasons make do together, so that Zhang Weilun, who has two children, begins to think about what kind of sparks will collide when art meets education and artists meet children face to face?
Settled artists are like amoeba in a group of Petri dishes, which hone, support and nourish each other. They have their own specialties, but they also decide to take a series of actions for all reflections.

As soon as they entered the 435 Art and Culture Special Zone, the artist took the children around in a big circle instead of in a row, so that the children could understand that the next activity was more like a big game than a class. In addition to coordinating Art Lab x KIDs activities, Zhang Weilun also serves as a team assistant. "We took our children to a studio to make a breakthrough. Every room is different, so a child entering the studio is like a mysterious house being opened. " The children skipped behind her, knowing different media and different creative methods.
Artists' various martial arts also aroused children's curiosity. Open the installation art studio and see the bathtub. Wood carving studio can smell the aroma of wood from a distance. In studio exploration, children open their senses, and such an experience can leave a mark on their hearts.
Then, children can choose courses freely and actually experience the fun of creation in the artist's workplace. For artists, such an activity is also like an adventure.

Printmaker Li took the children to create prints by using the chemical reaction of aluminum foil and cola, from sketching and drawing to printed products. If you have no experience in printmaking, you can't imagine the complicated process and achievements of printmaking. At first, children's interest in printmaking was not as enthusiastic as other courses. However, in one step at a time, Li Yanqi took the children to know and play, which actually led the children to help each other and cooperate with each other.
Accompanied by the children, I saw their attention suddenly turned to creation, which reminded Li Yanqi of her once straightforward and naive self. Zhang Weilun also shared, "I found that the innocence of children can make us return to a very primitive creative mentality. The brush strokes of children without socialization and restriction can't be imitated by adults. From then on, the significance of Petri dishes is not only the symbiotic power of artists in the settlement, but also the spark that artists collide with children in the same space.
In the final stage, the art laboratory x KIDs is planned by artists of all sizes. In addition to displaying the works, there will also be photos of the activities, and everyone will review the process and experience of the game together. Art Petri dish/provided by photographer Ke Shanwen
In addition to continuing to learn while playing in the art lab x KIDs, the art Petri dish will also carry out exchanges between the art lab x YOUNGs and high school art students through the cultural experience content selection funding scheme of the Ministry of Culture in the next school year.
According to the different needs of different audiences, Zhou Yongjie, the administrative director of the art culture dish, said with a smile that the art culture dish is also like doing an "experiment". Judging from the experience of people who have experienced it, what they hope to bring to senior high school students is not to let their creations return to childhood innocence. For art students who already have various skills, it will be more helpful if they can get concrete imagination on the road of art development through artists. "What we can give them includes further study, artistic employment or sharing foreign experience. In view of the fault between high school and university, let's build a bridge between us. 」
Most of the art classes in art classes focus on further studies. However, the art Petri dish hopes that children who take art classes will have access to different creative media, such as metalworking, wood carving, printmaking and installation art, in addition to technical examinations.
In addition to sharing experiences in the classroom, artists will also hold courses in the 435 Art and Culture Zone, so that children can experience the work fields and modes of artists in various fields and understand their creative styles. Chen, the visual director, hopes that this communication with senior high school students can touch their broader creative imagination space. In the future, if children want to engage in different types of creation such as new media and architecture, these courses and activities will become their nutrients.
Moreover, after the completion of the x YOUNGs Art Lab, artists will, under the empowering guidance of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Education, turn the project contents into lesson plans and put them on the "hit it off" network platform of the Ministry of Education for the reference of school teachers. Interested teachers can invite lesson plan planners to class, or they can change the course modules themselves, so that the artist's plan is not only a one-time activity, but also an opportunity to reach more children in different forms.
In this way, the team always tries to cross the river by feeling the stones in bold attempts, while actively exploring, trying to interact with different objects across disciplines. The artists of the art Petri dish team are also looking forward to bringing such an open mind to every child they meet. "(Modesty) For children, it will not always be under the framework, but will be restricted and bound. Art may be their way to escape. Perhaps only one in ten children can successfully plant seeds, but for art Petri dishes, it is already the footprint of influence fermentation.

Everyone has a different imagination of beauty, and being able to accept all kinds of possibilities will make art more boundless. Zhang Weilun commented that culture is the accumulation of daily life, and artists are one of the most profound cultural observers. "Our original intention is to sincerely share with our children our enthusiasm and love for artistic creation as creators. And every contact or challenge with different units enriches their artistic creation and adds more sensitive understanding and insight into life.
"Maybe, what we do won't make money, but I think creative people can pay and come back to give themselves a lot of energy. It's not as easy as the interview at the beginning. Zhang Weilun firmly expressed the original intention and mission of the art Petri dish.
For artists, people cast romantic, natural and even out-of-touch eyes; The continuous cross-domain action of the art Petri dish is more like gentle resistance to the status quo again and again.
