[Basic situation] Shuanggou Town is located at the junction of three provinces and counties in Jiangsu and Anhui. It is the south gate of Suqian, a famous town in Jiangsu Province and the hometown of famous wines in China. Historically known as "two provinces crow and three counties bark", it has obvious geographical advantages and convenient land and water transportation. Ningxu Expressway and Xu Ning Highway cross the border, with Hongze Lake in the east, Huaihe River and Huaihong New River crossing the east and west. The town covers an area of 86 square kilometers, and the area of ordinary cultivated land is 410.5 million mu. It governs 9 administrative villages and 8 residents' committees. The total population is 50600. In 2004, the regional GDP was 324 1.6 million yuan, the fiscal revenue was 74 1.0 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 358 1 yuan. From June to August, 2005, the town achieved a regional GDP of nearly 200 million yuan, fiscal revenue (excluding agricultural tax) of 465.438 billion yuan, and per capita net income of farmers of 2,350 yuan.
