BBC interviewed Sadil to learn the story behind the photo. It is understood that the child in the picture is actually a 4-year-old girl from Syria named Hudea. This photo was taken in February 20 14 in a refugee camp in Atmeh, northern Syria. The little girl, her mother and two sisters live here, but their home is in Hama, about 150 kilometers away.
