This is one of the masterpieces of comedian Jin Min. I believe that friends who like comics and anime won't miss any of Jin Min's works. Define the protagonist as a cartoonist. A cartoonist can create any world with his own pen, but this time his world was stolen. In order to find this crucial page, he decided to shuttle back and forth between reality and fiction, but in the end he was trapped in an inescapable maze. OPUS is also a great Jin Min style work. Let me give you a brief introduction. Let's have a look.

Brief comments on works;

"When I was doing comics, I could hardly see others. For me, life is just the sun and the moon passing through the window in turn. I don't even know which day of the week I think my beard has survived as a creature. "

-Jin Min is my dream road.

20 10 On August 24th, Japanese animation master Jin Min left a 4,000-word suicide note, listing 178 popular movies and animated feature films OPUS Works, claiming that he had passed away.

Suddenly, fans all over the world felt deeply sad. Now, nearly 10 years after the death of director Jin Min, the last work of the dream machine may only be Dream Meeting.

Fortunately, as a creator, Jin Min is not only a famous animation director, but also a cartoonist.

The Dream Machine, the last work of Jin Min's comedy career, was finally rediscovered through the efforts of all parties. This is the first book published in the form of a booklet, which contains the end of his last words that were rejected before his death.

Today, this summer, OPUS was finally introduced to the world of China for the first time, letting it know the readers and fans who love Jin Min!

Even more exciting, it is confirmed that OPUS will soon be adapted into an animated film. Jin Min's favorite musician and golden partner, Susumu hirasawa, has written the theme song for the movie soundtrack in advance.

"Heritage plans dance with the wind, and death is just a false life.

Come on, breathe.

Come on, wake up.

Come on, Genesis

God, work.

Yours, basketball. '

Musician Susumu hirasawa, Op.2018.

Looking back on Jin Min's creative career, OPUS is a very important turning point.

Jin Min was born in Sapporo, Hokkaido on 1963. As his father changed jobs and moved frequently, he gradually became fond of comics and animation. 1982-2003, Jin Min was admitted to the Xinye Academy of Fine Arts of our library as the assistant of the famous animation director and cartoonist Oto Moggi.

Jin Min's comedy debut was Krupp-Torico, and he won the Chiba Chumi Award and the Outstanding Newcomer Award. Yes 1984, he is 2 1 year old. This story has the dystopian temperament of George Orwell in 1984, stanley kubrick's OPUS, and Terry Csorian's clockwork orange, and has a mixed style of reality and fiction.

1990, Jin Min began to issue the ministerial cartoon Fantasy with the number 1. In the process, he was hospitalized for a month because of hepatitis, and he began to realize that comics were not suitable for him because he didn't like the working state created by one person.

Although he claimed to be "down and out", in the era of bubble economy, Jin Min began to rely on his artistic talent to make a living, and gained a firm foothold, including renting a large number of DVDs and taking notes at night when he had money, which affected his future creation.

1995, Jin Min is 32 years old. Finally, relying on the income from comics, he moved into a new home on the sixth floor without any comfort and upgrade. Here, after exceeding the limit for 200 days and 200 nights, Jin Min drew the last full-length cartoon-Opus, a cartoon about cartoons.

However, after the 19 series, the magazine suddenly closed and OPUS was cut in half. However, Jin Min did not give up easily. In the limited space reserved before the publication was closed, he skillfully designed a sacred ending, which could not only "prove himself" but also "echo the original background". He collected the pen with genius creativity and connected the semi-finished line drafts. Unexpectedly, the magazine refused to publish on the grounds of "bad luck" and finally failed to publish.

Since then, Jin Min has completely changed and started his career as an animation director. He devoted himself wholeheartedly to the production of his debut novel "The Returnee Line".

1997-2006, on average, a movie was released every two or three years, from the stable, The Nobody's House to The Millennium Actress and tokyo godfathers.

Jin Min successfully created a heavyweight animation masterpiece that influenced the world's movies. He was nominated for the main competition unit of Venice Film Festival, Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film and Annie Award for Best Director and Best Screenplay. He became another world-renowned master after Miyazaki Hayao, Otto Moggi and Mamoru Oshii. He said, "In the past ten years, my life density has been several times that of others."

"Who created God's world?"

OPUS is the physical container of director Jin Min's virtual soul.

What are the advantages of reading after completing the creative background of the work and its position in Jin Min's creative career?

First of all, for Jin Min, this cartoon is a summary of his cartoon career. Moreover, the settings of characters and scenes are autobiographical, and different characters have Jin Min's shadow.

In his works, Jin Min directly uses and depicts the life scenes of cartoonists, various occupational anxieties encountered in daily life, the harassment of editors, readers' comments and so on. Even in the end, "it really shows."

See Jin Min's report in "Red Pepper": "The workplace of the main cartoonist is completely drawn according to the room where he lived at that time. It is really fun to draw something around. "

From the plot, OPUS is full of suspense and excitement. Narrative skillfully sets the stage and moves forward step by step. This character is smart and full of tension. Intensive action scenes, the "insertion" of China elements, and the action skills of Hong Kong films.

It's like the perfect split and transition of a movie. Fully mobilize the expressive force of onomatopoeia words and tell stories with "sound effects". Reading experience is like watching an audio-visual movie! A cross-space brain burning magic with high concept!

OPUS is also a pioneering exploration of the theme of "meta-narrative" and "super-fiction" in the field of comics, which breaks the space wall between fiction and reality and leaves a tight brain hole. There is a play in the play and a dream in the dream.

The layout of the text draws lessons from Freud, Jung, Lacan and other psychological theories, existentialism philosophy, postmodern alienation aesthetics and narrative experiments. From the theme to the form, it embodies Jin Min's superb skills in controlling realism and surrealism.

The title "Opus"-pun, hierarchical structure, has opened up "comic world", "real world" and "created real world" in time and space.

The cover of the upper and lower volumes, red and blue CP are aligned with the mirror. The cover of book one is the back cover of book two, and the back cover of book one is the cover of book two.

Although it is a monochrome cartoon, due to the large amount of ink and high printing requirements, the imported Heidelberg two-color printing machine, which is rare in the market, is specially adopted. In order to facilitate reading, sewing was adopted.

Once the work was published, it won numerous awards and received constant praise. 20 13 won the ACBD Asian Review Award and was selected as the main competition unit of 20 14 Angola International Comic Festival. 20 16 won the excellent photographic novel of American Young Library Association.

Van Dom Post summed up his works in this way: "Jin Min's metafiction narrative makes his works full of existentialism and fatalism doubts." American magazines My Dream Road and Comics are even more valuable: "This is the most Jin Min-style work you can imagine!"

Commentator paul gray Grewitt listed OPUS as one of the top ten cartoons in 20 14, and thought that this cartoon was full of wonderful ideas and was a "refreshing meta-cartoon". He also said that this work is similar to Jin Min's animation works in style and should be very suitable for adaptation into animation.

OPUS is the story of the hero accidentally breaking into the world in the cartoonist's works. The super-fast opening speed immediately pulled me into this story. The work is full of wonderful ideas, such as the description of the "world", which I never imagined.

What impressed me most was that I suddenly realized that I had never thought about the feelings of the cartoon characters controlled by the author before I read this work. This work shows me a world far beyond my imagination. I really like it.

When the Japanese version of OPUS launched a new bound volume, the Chinese version of OPUS was officially published.

As the anniversary of Jin Min's death approaches, books will replace wine and pay tribute to him from a distance.
