To identify with another person and accept his personality requires entering a second position at a very deep level of identity. The second position allows us to replace another person's perspective. In the second position, you experience the world through another person's eyes, thoughts, feelings and beliefs. Taking another person's place temporarily is a good way to evaluate how real you are in a relationship. 3. The third position: Look at everyone present from the standpoint of the camera or bystander. As the saying goes, the authorities are fascinated and the bystanders are clear. From the perspective of onlookers, it keeps you neutral and fair, and is not affected by emotions, pressures, positions and interests. Seeing problems will be more rational, fair and objective.
The third position, or "observer" position, allows you to temporarily stay out of the relationship to collect information, as if you were a witness rather than an interactive participant. Your posture will be symmetrical and relaxed. In this position, you will see, listen and feel the relationship from the perspective of an interested but neutral observer. When you refer to the people you observe (including people who look like you, speak and act like you), you will use "third person" language, such as "she" and "he".
