Quanzhou No.7 Middle School was founded in May of 193 1, with Tianhou Palace as the school site, formerly known as private Huiming Middle School. In The Book of Songs, the meaning of "storm is like a dark cloud, and chickens crow endlessly" is adopted to encourage students to study hard. Yu Youren wrote the name of the school, and Feng Zikai designed the school emblem. 1948 added a high school, and 1956 was changed from private to public, renamed Quanzhou No.7 Middle School, and expanded eastward to its current address. Now it is one of the first batch of 12 demonstration high schools in Fujian province, a provincial-level standard middle school and a provincial civilized school. At the beginning of the school, the school board, composed of people of insight such as Cai Dingchang, Cai Guanghua, Chen and Wang, had poor school conditions and poor teachers. However, with the efforts of the first president, world-renowned agronomist Professor Tang, the second president, Professor Chen Yun of Huaqiao University and the third president Wang, the cause continued to develop. Due to historical reasons, Quanzhou No.7 Middle School was originally an ordinary middle school with a low starting point of students and poor school conditions.
