Seven common simple construction rules

Lead: There are various ways of composition, and a good composition will make the photos clearly express the artistic conception and the atmosphere of the scene. However, the quality of a composition is actually a very subjective matter. If you want to learn how to compose a composition, you must observe and learn from other people's photos and turn them into your own composition method to use. This can strengthen your thinking and creativity through the training of photographic eyes; These studies will imperceptibly become your internal image database, and you can automatically integrate your shooting skills when you face various photographic subjects in the future.

In fact, the seven simple composition rules commonly used are plain. The picture in the viewing window can make you feel great, that is, the composition is good; If the picture in the viewfinder only makes you feel ordinary, you can try another focal length, angle or position to shoot. Here are several common simple composition methods to help readers understand the images presented by different composition methods.

Avoid putting the theme at the center.

The child is the subject of this photo. I put him on the right when composing the composition, so that the viewer can find a more attractive subject next to the center of this photo, which will extend through the subject to other more interesting pictures, that is, a group of sheep grazing in the background, which also shows that this child is a shepherd boy.

There are shepherds, sheep and two sheepdogs at the shooting scene. In order to balance the picture, I put people and dogs on the left and right, and sheep in the middle to highlight the narrative power of the photo.

Try not to put the subject in the center when taking pictures, because such photos will appear stiff, abrupt and lack of movement.

Frame construction method

This photo takes monks who are cleaning as the main body, and rows of rectangular windows can not only play a frame role, but also guide the viewer's line of sight to the main body.

In other words, it is to use the scenery in the environment as the foreground to frame the theme.

Decorate the landscape with characters

Bring volcanic rubble and clouds along the road at a low angle, and then present the distant climbers in a beautiful way to increase the story of the picture.

The weather was a bit strange when I visited East Galilo National Park in New Zealand. Clouds come from time to time, and the sun is busy looking for gaps in the clouds, echoing the earth like playing games.

trichotomy

As the name implies, it is the composition method of dividing the picture into three equal parts, which can easily take an image with stable composition and appropriate proportion. This is a simple but very practical composition method.

Divide the picture into three parts, as shown on the right, with blue sky and white clouds above, a mountain village in the middle and autumn harvest fields below.

Legend 2

Trigonometry focuses on the theme you want to highlight. The picture on the left emphasizes the village under the vast blue sky and white clouds, which can make the sky occupy two-thirds of the area and make the picture more open. If you want to show the relationship between a large area of autumn harvest fields and villages, as shown on the right, move the camera down so that the fields and villages occupy two-thirds of the area, creating a sense of desolation of the fields after the autumn harvest.

Jiugongge division method

This composition method can make the overall balance of the picture better, and can also emphasize the contrast between the main body and the secondary body.

The so-called golden ratio composition method. Walking in the mountainous area of Anna Poorna, Nepal, the scenery is beautiful, and hard-working porters are seen from time to time along the way. How to combine this beautiful mountain view with porters? At this time, you can use the nine-square grid method to divide the picture into three parts with two vertical lines and two horizontal lines, and then put the characters at the intersection of the four dividing lines. These four points are the focus of the picture.

Composition of Foreground, Intermediate Scene and Depth of Field

This photo was taken by crouching down, and a big yellow flower in the foreground swayed, which increased the layering of the picture.

When standing, the foreground effect of flower field is weak.

Tajiks on the Pamirs are using waterways to irrigate cauliflower. I took a picture of the woman's height in the photo first, but the flower field in the foreground is very weak. I tried to bend down and took another photo, with yellow as the foreground, women as the middle scene and brown mountains as the background. The big yellow flower in the foreground fully describes the environmental scenery at that time, and also increases the layering of the picture.

Subtraction combination

Don't be greedy for subtraction composition. This picture focuses on the landmark buildings of Liecheng under the blue sky and white clouds, presenting beautiful alpine architectural scenery.

The scenery of Liecheng, the first place in Ladakh, North India, is chaotic, although it presents the city scenery completely.

However, the use of elongated focal segments to remove messy streets and combine the sky with buildings is not good.

Composition is actually the art of subtraction. How to grasp the key points in the picture and discard the unimportant parts is the idea of composition. Don't be greedy for subtraction composition. This picture focuses on the landmark buildings of Liecheng under the blue sky and white clouds, presenting beautiful alpine architectural scenery.
