The image of Jiu-Er in Red Sorghum?

Jiu-Er, a girl of 19 years old, is simple, kind and intelligent, but her father sold her to a leper as his wife. After a series of twists and turns and hardships, Jiu-Er gradually grew into a woman with a distinct personality.

In terms of feelings with Yu Zhanao, she dares to love and hate, is not afraid of bondage, dares to break through the feudal cage, and pursues true love at all costs. At the critical moment of defending the country, she defended her home with her life.

Because of a mule, Jiu-Er's parents want to marry her to a leper who runs a hotel. When Jiu-Er got married in a sedan chair, she was stopped by a robber on the road. After Jiu-Er's husband died, Jiu-Er took over the hotel.

Later, Japanese troops invaded China. Jiu-Er's old friend was killed by the Japanese, so Jiu-Er wanted to take revenge on the Japanese. She asked her workers for help. In order not to let the workers starve, Jiu-Er brought lunch to entertain everyone, and was killed by the Japanese.

Extended data:

When Jiu-Er's son was 9 years old, the Japanese came to Qingshakou, burning and looting. Jiu-Er took out the eighteen-mile red brewed by Uncle Lohan who was killed by Japanese devils and gave it to everyone. Everyone went to fight the japs in high spirits.

Jiu-Er rewarded them with cooked food in Yu Zhanao, but was killed by machine guns on Japanese military vehicles. Angry Yu Zhanao and everyone walked towards the Japanese military vehicle with cupping and Lei Chong. After the dust, Yu Zhanao took his son by the hand and trudged to Jiu-Er's body.

The film portrays a group of ordinary people in China, such as "my grandmother", "my grandfather" and "uncle Lohan", praising their national spirit of daring to live and die, loving and hating, and also thinking about the history, personality, psychology, culture and lifestyle of the Chinese nation.

The biggest feature of this film is that it shows the heroic and frank side of China people, which is quite different from the traditional sad and heavy style of Chinese mainland films. Photographer Gu Changwei has excellent performance in framing and color application. The scene where the hero and heroine meet in the sorghum field has a rare beauty of "the combination of scenery and people" in China's films, which makes people relaxed and detached.
