The difference between investigation and reconnaissance

The difference between investigation and reconnaissance lies in the target and method.

Investigation refers to acquiring knowledge about a specific target by collecting intelligence and information, so as to make decisions or take actions. Investigation methods include investigation, surveillance, surveillance and evidence collection, aiming at obtaining detailed information and intelligence about the target. Reconnaissance refers to the observation and evaluation of geographical areas, hostile forces or battlefield environment in order to obtain tactical or strategic information.
