How to take pictures in indoor simulated sunlight

Lead: Many times, it is ideal to shoot an object in natural light, but if you miss the best shooting opportunity, you can still imitate the sunlight. Next, I will teach you how to take photos indoors like in the sun. Hurry up and learn!

How to take pictures in indoor simulated sunlight;

1/ light source

Because photographers can shoot movies, they have Yongnuo YN300-II camera lights and can adjust the color temperature. If not, you can actually use IKEA lights.

2/ White cloth

It is impossible to have natural light with artificial light, so you need to prepare a cloth to soften the light. The size of the cloth prepared by the photographer himself is1.5x2m.

3/ tripod

Because the light is not strong, it is best to use a tripod to assist.

4/ Imitate the pattern of the window frame

Just cover it with paper, because the light source will not cast a very real shadow when it is far away, so you can cut it at will.

Photographers say that this method is limited to still life photography, because it takes a long exposure time if shooting indoors. Of course, you can push the ISO higher, but the picture quality will be obviously reduced.

Start shooting

First place the scene and put a white cloth between the lamp and the object.

It is more convenient to do white balance after shooting with RAW. The aperture is set at about f/4.5-5.6, and the exposure time needs to be tested by itself due to different environments, which is about 0.3-2s. The shooting results are as follows:

After correcting the white balance:

Add props

Add an ordinary paper tray or just a paper cover to enhance the three-dimensional effect. Try different angles, tilt the point and move it until you get a natural effect.

The following are the effects of using IKEA lamps. Although it is a yellow light, there is no problem to correct the white balance in LR.
