Other reports of Australian monitor lizard

According to an ancient aboriginal legend, a carnivorous monitor lizard from a high mountain once caused panic among villagers. They probably refer to the largest lizard in history-the ancient monitor lizard. Some mysterious zoologists believe that it still lives in the rain forest of Australia. Although scientists speculate that the ancient monitor lizard is extinct, it won't be surprising if it is rediscovered. It is reported that the bone found by a farmer in Queensland on his farm was identified as the bone of an ancient monitor lizard. Paleontologists estimate that those bones are only 300 years old. This discovery may prove that ancient monitor lizards have been seen in this area for many years. The aborigines arrived in Australia about 48,000 years ago, but the ancient monitor lizards and other large animals in this area suddenly disappeared at almost the same time. In September 2008, a missing climber's camera, watch and sandals were found on the river bank in northern Queensland. Footprints of unknown animals were found nearby.

Reptiles belonging to the lizard family also grow in eastern China. Giant lizards are also called lizards. No large lizards have been found in China. Some people in China call lizards horse snakes. The body shape of horse snake is similar to that of gecko, and its existence is influenced by living habits and environment. It is conceivable that the growth of a 6-meter-long adult monitor lizard is very rare.
