How is the corona rain formed?
Coronal rain consists of dense circular blocks covering thousands of kilometers.
The gas heated from below by the nano-flare is cooled and highly condensed to generate rain, while the magnetic wave will make the gas at high altitude too hot to condense at all. The gas rises slowly like the airflow formed by the evaporation of boiling hot water, and then the temperature drops. Once they become dense, they will form these circles.
According to the scientific simulation test, corona rain is the reason why the corona temperature is so high.
Before this, scientists put forward two theories to explain this phenomenon. One theory holds that small-scale explosions in the lower atmosphere called nano-flares continuously raise the temperature of the corona, causing gas to rise and flow into the corona, where it releases energy. Another theory holds that the thermal energy of the corona is accumulated by electromagnetic waves passing through the corona.

Corona is a natural phenomenon, which refers to the outermost layer of the solar atmosphere (including chromosphere and photosphere), with a thickness of more than several million kilometers. There is a corona outside chromosphere, and the temperature is extremely high. There is a coronal hole in the corona, which is the wind source of the solar wind. The corona can only be seen during the total solar eclipse or through the corona instrument, and its shape changes with the size of solar activity. In the year of maximum solar activity, the shape of the corona is close to a circle, while in the year of minimum solar activity, the shape of the corona is an ellipse.
At the same time, in order to facilitate the measurement, scientists also invented the coronagraph. The coronagraph (unrelated to the sundial) is a special kind of telescope. Astronomers can photograph the corona without waiting for a solar eclipse. The telescope lens of the coronagraph is fitted with an energy metal disk, and after cutting off the light of the photosphere, the camera on the coronagraph can take photos of the corona. Corona instrument is only effective when it is used in space (such as Yuedao Observatory) or in places with thin air (such as mountains).
