Coastal resources in Hengmen Town —— Can be met but not sought.

Zhongshan is a veritable coastal city. There are Li Hongqi Waterway and Hengmen Waterway in the east of Neijiang, as well as Ma 'an Island, Hengmen Island and the vast waters in the west of Lingdingyang. Coastal resources are very rich. Hengmen is the mouth of Hengmen Waterway, with an annual runoff of 36.5 billion cubic meters, accounting for 1 1.2% of the total runoff of the Pearl River into the sea.

Hengmen Island, called Ant Island in ancient times, is located in Hengmen Waterway and is the natural barrier of Hengmen. The island is rectangular and covers an area of about 4 square kilometers. It takes the water volume of Hengmen as 2 strands and the water volume of 300 meters wide in the north as the main channel at present. Near Hengmen Island, there are three "twin brothers" with deep friendship, namely Damao Island, Ermao Island and Sanmao Island, which are famous for their lush yellow thatch. According to their size, they were given three interesting names. Surprisingly, the locals call Damao Island "Leprosy Island". 1957, the then Zhongshan County Health Bureau set up a leprosy hospital here. When I went out to sea on a recreational fishing boat, I saw its general appearance from a distance and felt very mysterious.
