How to create a good sense of space in the picture
The principle of line perspective is that people observe the scenery with the visual effect of "near big and far small". First of all, the most obvious example is that when we observe two parallel lines, the lines converge in the distance and finally disappear on the horizon. Secondly, when we watch scenes in different positions, the perspective rate of line perspective is different, and the relative positions between scenes are also different. Line perspective exists in all the scenery we see, bright lines are easy to feel, and dark lines are often ignored. For example, when we learn to sketch portraits, we often can't handle the line perspective relationship of portraits well, because the line perspective here is dark and difficult to show. It is not easy to express the line perspective between scenes in landscape photography. We need to fully observe and understand the relationship between light and dark perspective before we can put it into the practice of shooting composition.
2, reasonable arrangement of scenery, handle the near, medium and long-term.
We will find that the closer you are to the subject, the stronger this perspective will be. On the contrary, if you want to weaken this feeling, stay away from the subject. A successful landscape photography with a sense of perspective should be in harmony with the close shot, the middle shot and the long shot. The photos taken by some cinematographers, especially the photos of distant scenes, always feel "dull" and have a weak sense of space. This is because there is no contrast between the close shot and the middle shot, only the distant view.
3. Make good use of the relationship between focal length and visual perspective.
Changing the focal length of the lens is an easy method to master, and this visual experience is very intuitive. Wide-angle lens can "exaggerate the perspective relationship", making the distance between objects larger than our eyes look, extending the space and exaggerating the visual proportion relationship of objects, while telephoto lens, on the other hand, compresses the space and weakens the proportion contrast between the front and rear objects. One thing to understand here is that if there is no foreground or intermediate scene as a reference, changing the focal length without changing the shooting position can generally not change the perspective relationship.
