The relationship between the Forbidden City, Jingshan and Beihai

These three are closely related, as follows:

1. Jingshan Park is located in Jingshan Qianjie, Xicheng District, Beijing, facing Beihai in the west and Shenwumen in the Forbidden City across the street in the south. Jingshan Park is a royal garden in Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, located on the central axis of Beijing in Ming and Qing Dynasties. Jingshan Park in the center of the park was once the commanding height of the whole city, so it has a close relationship with the Forbidden City.

2. Beihai Park is also related to Jingshan Park and the Forbidden City. Beihai Park, located in Xicheng District, Beijing, is an ancient royal garden. It is said that the land of Beihai Park was dug from Beihai and later became a royal garden. Beihai Park is adjacent to Jingshan Park and can be visited together on the same day.
