How to shoot tulips better?
The reason why tulip photography is difficult is that tulip itself is very long.
Tulips usually look at flowers, but in order to make flowers bloom on long stems, which are larger (longer) than flowers in size, it is surprisingly difficult to keep balance when trying to match pictures. It is necessary to photograph the whole tulip carefully by observing the size of tulip and the planting situation in the flower bed. Composition is very important.
Low altitude flowering
Because tulips are mostly planted in flower beds, they generally bloom on the ground. In other words, far below the human eye. If you shoot from a normal high line of sight, the objective impression will be enhanced, and it is only a recorded photo, which is often very interesting. If you just shoot from the top like this, it will be a disappointing photo.
First, don't squat when you look at tulips from a low place. The point is to observe first. For example, the photo below. Try to shoot from a lower position, but if you look closely, the flowers will be in a mess and you don't know where to focus. If the color is beautiful, but you don't observe it well, then you may be happy here.
If you want the flowers to stand out, it will look like this from a lower position.
It reduces the number of overlapping flowers in the bright sky and background, so it is refreshing as a whole, and it is easier to see where the focus is! It is difficult to do this only in the viewfinder. First of all, we change the height and visual placement while observing.
Second, vertical composition is better than horizontal composition. Tulips are long grass. If you want to shoot alone (or in small quantities), vertical composition is usually easier to combine. Because the camera is easy to hold horizontally, many people unconsciously only use the horizontal composition, but remember to compose vertically. For example, if you take a picture of a tulip with a horizontal composition, the information of the green stem will be lost, and you will feel a little uncomfortable compared with the flower part above. ...
Not bad, but it gives the impression of weakness to some extent. ...
However, when shooting vertically, the green area becomes larger and it is easier to keep balance with the strong flowers.
Third, the compression effect of telephoto lens Generally speaking, the compression effect of telephoto lens will make the front and back of the object appear dense. When you use a telephoto lens from a distance, you can see sparse flower beds at close range.
By using a 200mm telephoto lens, the flowers on the back will get closer and closer. This is not the case with standard lenses. If you use a telephoto cut, you may feel embarrassed.
This is 400 mm, and please note that the size of the foreground flower and the middle flower has not changed much. This is the effect of telephoto lens.
If you shoot with a normal lens, the front will look bigger and the back will look like beans.
Fourth, the creation of a wide-angle lens is amazing. The super wide-angle technology is used to shoot with a camera near the end of the flower. The minimum shooting distance (focal length) of wide-angle lens is short, which can be close to the lens, creating a dynamic perspective with perspective effect.
The key is to put a big flower in front. If you are close to the flower field, you can see the soil on the foreground side from above, which looks scary, so if you put the flower in a low-density part, the whole flower will be beautiful!
If we want to further increase the variation when shooting a part with macro lens, let's focus on local objects with macro. If you only pay attention to the part of tulips that interests you, you can cut them from all angles.
The key is to be bold and make it stand out. Basically, it's mainly stamens, but if you think you are beautiful, you can focus on other places.
Six, through the fuzzy and background color control picture effect to pay attention to another thing is the impression of the background. Of course, just change the color of the blurred flowers, but we will focus on the brightness of the background. If the background is ok, the impression is bright and refreshing.
Especially when using telephoto lens, the range of background that can be captured is limited. Let's pay attention to the scenery behind us while shooting.
