Travelers’ darling - Tibet

Tibet, place Located on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the altitude is high and the road is more difficult than in other areas, but it still attracts countless people.

Literary young people like to regard Tibet as a holy land that "cleanses the soul", which is sacred and cannot be profaned; travelers also regard Tibet as a must-visit place for travel, which is mysterious and full of challenges.

And what is its charm that convinces millions of people? Through the movie "Kang Rinpoche", let's follow the cinephile to see the beauty of Tibet.

In Tibet, on the road

2014 is the Year of the Horse in Tibetan Buddhism, the birth year of Kailash.

Travel friend Gezi gathered people and rode to Mount Kailash to climb the mountains, but I was working overtime. After Gezi came back, he simply opened an outdoor travel agency and took travel friends from all over the country on self-driving tours along the Sichuan-Tibet line all year round. It felt so comfortable. For ordinary people, this is a way of life that has the best of both worlds. His state of trusting the horse is much more unrestrained than mine.

In 2017, China's sixth-generation director Zhang Yang put his mountain-touring film "Kang Rinpoche" on the big screen. The story is very simple: in the Tibetan village of Mangkangpura, there is an old man who places his hope in the afterlife, a pregnant woman who is about to give birth, an alcoholic butcher whose family is in ruins, a disabled teenager, and a middle-aged couple who suffer the death and injury of their family members while building a house. And their ignorant 9-year-old daughter... A group of 11 people began a 2,500-kilometer pilgrimage.

Obviously, the director wants to use such a pilgrimage team to accommodate as many different aspects of life as possible.

Along the way, they experienced spring, summer, autumn and winter, wind, frost, snow and rain, hunger and cold, birth, old age, illness and death, more than 2,500 kilometers, 1 million crawls, complaints and confusion on the road, daily chats and prayers, and after repairs We are on the road again, this reincarnation is so much like our life!

With these questions in mind, I walked into the theater to speculate on the motives of the pilgrims.

In the end I realized how pointless this was.

Pilgrims can also be lazy, complain about the cruelty of reality, and make jokes before going to bed to relieve their depression. Young guys still like beautiful girls. They are ordinary people like us. People all have ordinary desires, and they are also confused in the face of faith.

And we are not on the road just like them. It’s just that we are taking a path of going to and from get off work every day, studying and working, and pursuing stability in this world. They are walking on a path that turns a thousand times and crawls forward to find inner peace. They are all roads, they are all exits of life. In the end, they finally reach the sacred mountain. We finally achieve the perfection of the earthly world and reach the same destination through different paths.

Through the scenes of the movie, the magnificent 318 National Highway "Sichuan-Tibet Line" appeared in front of me again.

Every summer, National Highway 318 becomes a pilgrimage route for people going to Lhasa. There are people riding bicycles, people riding human-powered three-wheelers, people riding tricycles, people riding sidecars, people driving cars, people on foot, people kowtow... there is an endless stream of people.

The Sichuan-Tibet Highway is difficult and dangerous, but the scenery is magnificent. There are snow-capped mountains, primeval forests, grasslands, glaciers, canyons and large rivers. Passing through the photographer’s paradise Xindu Bridge, the world’s tallest city Litang, the daunting 72 turns, the natural danger of queuing dragons, the scenery of the Swiss town Lulang, the small Jiangnan Nyingchi in Tibet and the holy city of Lhasa, “the sky is different across the mountains, and one day is different.” The scenery is breathtakingly beautiful in all four seasons.”

The ride on the Sichuan-Tibet line came and went in my heart like a tide. It was a long trip and a romantic time. We met many people and people on the road. Things enrich my heart and make me grow.

Starting from Chengdu and heading west along National Highway 318, the first place that haunts me is the misty and rain-shrouded Xingou Town.

If it hadn’t been for the day of rain in front of the Erlang Mountain, I think I might not have stayed here. If I hadn't lived here, I probably wouldn't have eaten the tomato and egg noodles from Sister Yang's house in Laiyuan B&B. A big bowl of tomato and egg noodles was steaming. We sat in the shop and ate the noodles "Xili Hulu". It was fragrant and hot, and it made me burst into tears as I recalled it. On the way to 318, I have never eaten such delicious tomato and egg noodles.

After passing through the Erlangshan Tunnel, if you are lucky, you may be able to see Luding City next to the Dadu River in the rain and fog.

Yes! Flying to seize Luding Bridge's Luding City! Flying down from the mountain is like flying in the clouds and riding in the mist. Erlang Mountain, the Xingou on this side of the mountain is rainy all year round, making it difficult for crops to grow, but the wind in Luding on the other side of the mountain is beautiful and the sun is beautiful, and the melons and fruits are fragrant. As the saying goes, "the sky is different across the mountains"!

The next stop in Luding is Kangding.

The popular Paoma Mountain is where Kangding, the hometown of love songs, is located.

Zheduo Mountain, 40km west of Kangding, is the first mountain with an altitude of 4,000 meters on the Sichuan-Tibet Line. When the weather is fine, standing on the pass you can see the Gongga Snow Mountain in the distance. For people who live on the plateau, you may get high altitude sickness when you get here. If the altitude sickness is severe, it’s best to go back home immediately!

After crossing Zheduo Mountain, we arrived at Xinduqiao. The beautiful Xinduqiao is known as a photographer’s paradise. From here onwards, Tibetan residents began to have more and more humanistic characteristics.

After climbing over three mountains, we arrived at Litang, which is 4,000 meters above sea level. It is the county with the highest altitude in Sichuan and is known as the "Highest City in the World".

The Changqingchunker Temple here is the oldest and largest Tibetan Buddhist temple in Kham District.

About 30 kilometers west of Litang County is the Maoya Prairie, where acres of flowers bloom in July and August every year. I am crazy about the beauty of the vast sea of ??flowers here!

119km west of Litang is Haizi Mountain. The lake on the mountain is the most beautiful scenery on this section of the road. However, it is rumored that robbers often appear in Haizi Mountain, so you need to be careful with the embankments!

Coming down from Haizi Mountain, you pass through Batang County. After passing Batang, you will find the Jinsha River Bridge, which is the junction of Sichuan and Tibet.

Mangkang is the first county town entering Tibet from the Sichuan-Tibet Line. This is the first stop on the ancient Tea Horse Road, the hometown of Xianzi Dance, and the starting point for the Tibetan pilgrimage in the movie "Kang Rinpoche".

Dongda Mountain is the second highest pass on the way from Chengdu to Lhasa (the height of the Dongda Mountain Pass in the latest survey is 5130 meters). Dongda Mountain is growing taller every year.

The next stop on Dongda Mountain is Bangda, which is the intersection of various routes into Tibet. Continuing from Bangda and climbing over Yela Mountain, you will find the famous 72 turns on the Sichuan-Tibet Line. This daunting winding mountain road has 72 curves of various sizes from the pass to the foot of the mountain. Nearly half of them are close to 180-degree turns. You need to be extra careful when passing through this section. The male protagonist in the movie "Mountain" was seriously injured on this stretch of road. The only time I crashed was also here, but fortunately I was safe.

Before arriving at Ranwu, you pass through a "rockfall corridor". This section of the road is dug along the mountain wall. The mountain is loose and flying rocks often fall, so you need to pass here quickly.

Ranwu Town, where there are beautiful Ranwu Lake and magnificent snow-capped mountains and glaciers, are all concentrated next to this small Ranwu Town. Generally, you may not be able to enjoy it in three to five days.

If you are lucky enough, you may meet Mr. Erang, the "old Tibetan doctor" in the movie "The Mountain", and he may say to you: "Take your medicine on time."

< p> He may also offer you a white hada in the restaurant he runs and take a photo with you.

The wading area on the way from Ranwu to Bomi, the wading scene in the movie "Kang Rinpoche" should have been filmed here.

Bomi - Jiangnan in Tibet

Is there a forest with ancient trees and sky in Tibet? The answer is yes, it’s Bomi!

When you arrive in Bomi, you can take a car along a rugged and steep mountain road into the legendary Medog. However, this road is only accessible from June to October every year. At other times, the mountain is blocked by heavy snow, and the only way to get in is on foot. (It is said that the new Medog Highway is about to be opened to traffic)

Tongmai Bridge-Pailong Township, the short 17-kilometer mountain road from Tongmai to Pailong is the most dangerous gate of hell on the Sichuan-Tibet line.

Pailong is a natural hazard. The mountain road is dug along the cliff. The road is extremely narrow. In many places, only one car can pass through, which often causes traffic jams.

Pailong natural danger - Tiger Mouth. Near Laohuzui is a passage carved out of the cliff. This is also the lowest point on the Sichuan-Tibet line after passing Luding, with an altitude of only 1923m.

The scenery of Lulang, which is like a small Swiss town, will be unforgettable for you, and the stone pot chicken here is also very famous!

Sejila Mountain You can overlook the Niyang River halfway up the mountain, and Nyingchi County is at the foot of the mountain.

Bayi Town is the second largest city in Tibet. Most of the place names marked on the map are Nyingchi area. Prices are not too high. Do you want to treat yourself and enjoy it?

Leaving Linzhi County and arriving at Gongbujiangda County, proceed 1km to the Xiuba Millennium Castle.

Slowly climb up to the last mountain on the Sichuan-Tibet line - Mira Mountain

The last mountain pass on the way from Chengdu to Lhasa, Mira Mountain Pass!

Lhasa! Lhasa!

I don’t want to say more about Lhasa, such as the Potala Palace, Barkhor Street, Norbulingka, Lesser and Lesser Zhao Temple, Drepung Temple, Sera Temple, Tibet Museum, Yangbajing, Namtso... Or you don’t go anywhere and just sit in the Jokhang Temple Square at three o’clock in the afternoon and bask in the sun.

The holy city of Lhasa is full of sunshine and is a place suitable for rest. The pilgrim team of "Kang Rinpoche" stayed here for a long time.

Because pilgrimage with a baby is very hard, mothers need to rest, because the pilgrimage is lonely, young people want to talk, because there is not enough money, men need to do odd jobs to earn travel expenses for the next journey...

The seasons change, Life goes on and on, facing the unknown future, they take it calmly. These fragments of life are so similar to our ordinary lives.

As director Zhang Yang said: "No way of life in this world is completely correct, but a few years later, people can still see from this film that there is a nation that still lives like this. . The sacred mountain and holy lake are not the end. Accept the ordinary self, but do not give up the ordinary ideals and beliefs, and love life. "

(Author's message)

On the road. Traveling is lonely and lonely. During the journey, you will have a lot of time to talk freely with yourself, understand yourself and the world.

Although travel is not a panacea, it can nourish your life and make you grow like vitamin C. However, traveling requires money and time. Please learn from the pilgrims. If you don’t have money, make money first. Go as far as you have money. Go as far as you have the ability. What we want is to walk with dignity rather than walking with dignity. Blindly quit my job and drop out of school to travel.

So I hope everyone will think clearly about where to go before setting off? How to get there? And how to come back?

If you don’t think clearly and just leave...waiting for you ahead are wind, rain, thunder, lightning, flash floods and wild beasts. If you have already thought clearly, then what are you waiting for?

No fear in my heart, once determined, there is no obstacle in the way!
