What's the difference between focal plane and camera lens?

The equipment used for shooting is industrial standard, and the picture quality is higher than that of civilian use, so the lens used is also a "cost-saving" manufacturing process.

In addition to the extremely high technological requirements, the lens used in the film machine has the following characteristics compared with the civilian lens:

1。 Unified large-caliber specifications. Industrial-grade images have strict standards for image noise, and when there is obvious noise affecting image quality, it will not pass the audit. Therefore, in order to ensure the shooting quality in the dark environment and increase the amount of light, the focal plane has designed a large aperture specification.

2。 Unified mirror scale. In most cases, film shooting is manual focusing, manual aperture, and equipped with special focusing personnel. The lens must be designed with scales, so that the focusing personnel can perform various precise operations (although it is often unnecessary to watch the lens operation).

3。 Metal mirrors are widely used. In order to cope with all kinds of harsh environments in film shooting, the lens is designed to be extremely strong, and in many cases, even if the mirror body is damaged, it can still image normally.

4。 The size and weight of the mirror body are the same. In order to cooperate with the peripheral equipment of the film and avoid the change of the center of gravity of the fuselage after changing the lens, the focal planes of different models are designed to be almost the same size and weight within a certain focal length range.

5。 The image field distortion is well controlled. In order to deal with the obvious distortion in dynamic images, the focal plane is very particular about distortion correction and the lens manufacturing process is very strict.
