Ali region (Tibetan Pinyin: Ngari Sanai, Willie: mnga' ris sa gnas) is a prefecture-level administrative region in Xizang Autonomous Region, People's Republic of China (PRC). Li Na was called in the Yuan Dynasty and Russia was called in the Ming Dynasty. Located in the northern part of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau-the core area of Qiangtang Plateau, it is a regional administrative division of Xizang Autonomous Region, China, and one of the regions with the lowest population density in the world, with unique natural features of the plateau.
