How to improve photography technology

Photography technology is mainly divided into two aspects. One is pure technology, which involves the knowledge of physical optics (film photography also involves developing chemistry), because the essence of photography is to store and process light and shadow information. In short, it is necessary to know the properties of light (sunlight, lights, flashlights), such as light intensity, brightness range (contrast of shooting scene), color, color temperature and light propagation-direct, diffuse reflection, reflection, etc. The density (brightness of the display), contrast, color saturation, fog (noise of the display) and so on of the photos corresponding to the photo carrier.

As for white balance and sensitivity, the film age is determined by the color temperature and sensitivity of the film, and the digital age is determined by the sensors and chips of digital cameras.

The use of the camera is mainly to know the lens performance parameters-aperture, shutter and focal length (medium, long, short and zoom), so as to control the expected imaging effect. For example, the aperture size not only controls the density (display brightness) of the expected photo image by controlling the amount of light, but also controls the depth of field of imaging-the clear range of imaging before and after focusing; Shutter is another means to obtain the desired image density. It controls exposure by controlling the length of exposure time (commonly known as speed), and it is also a means to control images. For example, appropriate exposure time can make photos have a "dynamic" effect.

The focal length of the lens is not only to reduce the part in the distant view or take a wide big picture, but also to obtain the required composition perspective by using different viewpoints (perspectives).

Speaking of composition, this is another key point of photography technology, and it is also difficult to master. It is a soft technology involving the cultivation of art foundation and social knowledge. As long as you think about the same camera, the results of shooting at the same time and place will be very different, and you can understand the importance of framing and composition, or that hardware equipment technology is secondary to shooting and composition technology. The first drawing class in primary school more than 60 years ago, the teacher's "irrelevant" opening remarks are still fresh in my memory-only bad photographers, no bad cameras. So don't be a fan of burning equipment.

Finally, photography is a technology that attaches great importance to practice, so practice makes perfect. There is an extreme example. An eighth-grade locksmith brought back a Nikon SLR when he went abroad in the 1980s. A few years ago, he was tricked into buying an out-of-season digital camera in Zhongguancun by profiteers. The key point is that he told me that Nikon hasn't taken photos yet, and the digital machine is also a decoration because he can't use computers. I said you are so interesting: you are married and don't go into the bridal chamber!
