Changzhou Art Vocational College is a full-time public college approved by Jiangsu Provincial People's Government. Founded in 1970, it was then "Changzhou Revolutionary Literature and Art School". In 2008, it was successfully upgraded to a full-time public general college, renamed Changzhou Art Higher Vocational School, which is a professional art school in Changzhou and a key college-level art school in Jiangsu Province.

It is the China Dance Grading Center of Beijing Dance Academy, Changzhou Test Center of Shanghai Music Grading, Jiangsu Reserve Talent Base and Beijing International Standard Dance Academy.

The school covers an area of 150 mu, with a building area of 65,000 square meters. The completed Xinchangyi School covers an area of 150 mu, with a school building area of nearly 60,000 square meters.

The hardware basically meets the requirements of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education for running art higher vocational schools. With the help of this new hardware platform, Changyi school can further strengthen the construction of connotation and characteristics, expand regulations and increase capacity, and sprint to a new level in higher art vocational colleges.
