The 15th Guangqi Music Festival in Wenjiang District closed.

Thirty works won the 5th Wang Guangqi Prize for Literature and Art, and the Folk Orchestra of Sichuan Conservatory of Music performed A Dream of Red Mansions and other 14 classical music works.

The event was hosted by the Propaganda Department of Chengdu Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, Chengdu Wenguang New Bureau, Chengdu Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Sichuan Conservatory of Music, and was undertaken by the Propaganda Department of Chengdu Wenjiang District Committee, Wenjiang District Wenguang New Bureau and Wenjiang District Federation of Literary and Art Circles.

The 5th Wang Guangqi Literature and Art Award was launched on July 8th this year, with 30 works selected and 40 winners. Compared with previous years, the winning works mainly show the characteristics of praising Wenjiang's new look, wide range of works, emerging new works by newcomers and winning national, provincial and municipal awards.

The representative works praising the new appearance of Wenjiang are music works "Legend of Wenjiang", "Neighborhood Home" and dance works "The Origin of Jinma River". The dance work "Companion" was broadcast in cctv-3 "Dance World", and the literary work "That Purple" was publicly released in Xinhua Bookstore and websites all over the country. Among the winning works, 14 won the prize, accounting for 46% of the prize.

The music "Little Egret" won the best creative award in the first national children's environmental protection song collection and selection activity of "Children's Voice" co-sponsored by China Musicians Association and China Environmental Protection Federation. The photographic work "Sketch of Migrant Workers in the Sand Turning Factory" won the excellent collection award of the 5th National Farmers Photography Competition sponsored by China Photographers Association. The fine art work Memories of the Soul was selected for the 4th Western Ceramics Biennale sponsored by China Artists Association and Sichuan Artists Association, and won a special prize. Some works of the collection of short stories "That Purple Flower" have won the National Short Story Essay Award and the Sichuan Daily Literature Award.

After the award ceremony, the National Orchestra of Sichuan Conservatory of Music was invited to give the audience a special performance of A Dream of Red Mansions, and 14 classical music works such as A Dream of Red Mansions were well received by the audience.

It is understood that the 15th Guangqi Music Festival in Wenjiang District was fully included in the first Chengdu International Music and Poetry Season of "City of Music and City of Poetry" on 20 16, and it was strongly supported by Sichuan Conservatory of Music as the closing performance of this Guangqi Music Festival.
