Pu ti Hua kai

On that day in Na Yue that year, in the courtyard of that temple, I saw a towering tree with a thick trunk and a lush crown, full of exotic flowers and herbs. That flower, that red flower, is beautiful; That flower, that red flower, is incomparable, amazing and fragrant ... It's getting late, but that red color will make the night sky burn and tremble. ...

Through the amazing crowd and several photographers, I came to the nearest place to the tree. I saw an old layman with his hands folded devoutly and some excited tears in his eyes ... Only after asking did he know that the tree is a bodhi tree and the flower is a bodhi flower.

Later, after studying Buddhism, I gradually realized that Bodhi Tree is the kind of tree under which Buddha meditates. Its original name was Biboro Tree. Later, because of the Buddha's achievements in practicing under the tree, it was called Bodhi Tree. Bodhi means enlightenment and wisdom. Then, the bodhi flower on the bodhi tree certainly symbolizes the blooming of wisdom and the significance of enlightenment achievement.

On that year's Na Yue Day, Siddhartha Gautama, the prince of ancient India, finally came to a big tree after six years of hard work and vowed silently: I would rather die than leave this seat without Bodhi. After 49 days of contemplation, Prince Siddhartha overcame all evil thoughts and troubles inside and outside his body and mind with unparalleled endurance of ordinary people. Finally, in the morning when the stars were shining, he suddenly realized the truth of the universe of life, that is, he became a great wise man-Buddha.

The footsteps of history have gone for more than 2500 years, and today, that night has finally become a legendary secret-a secret that countless philosophers and archaeologists have been tirelessly exploring; That night, it also opened a new era of Buddhism's prosperity, and generations of practitioners continued to practice the truth along the direction of Buddhism. ...

What happened that night-or what the Buddha saw when he was enlightened-or what did he experience about the truth of life and the universe? Why has his discovery so far left philosophers all over the world behind? Why does his thought always inspire people's life and direction like a starry sky? ...

This mystery is not unsolvable. That night, the Buddhist scriptures recorded this way:

First, the Buddha felt that people and events in the past clearly emerged before his eyes, and various historical events were vividly displayed before his eyes. Past, present and future are not completely different stages. As time went by, they were closely linked by a slender ring rope. Originally, there was no beginning and end time in the present. Under this idea, there have been 3,000 beautiful months.

Second, the Buddha felt the distance of the world and slowly approached him. The mountains and rivers gave off colorful light before his eyes. What was once filthy is now clean, and what was once ugly is now beautiful; The darkness of the past is now bright. From the emerald hills, he realized the truth of Buddha nature; From the trickle of the stream, he proved the true meaning of selflessness and felt the eternity of life. The distance of the world seems to have no barrier to the Buddha. This shows that the Buddha's consciousness has transcended the limitation of space, and he often turns from everything to the Dharma.

Third, the Buddha realized that the troubles in the world are not perfect, but only pseudonyms, while all beings are ignorant, hold the false as true, care about people's right and wrong, be insatiable and stupid. Judging from the wisdom of saints, it is really boring and pitiful; The Buddha realized that life and death are just an illusion. With karma, all beings are born and die in the stream of life and death, and they are born again after death. Ordinary people don't know what to believe In fact, life and death are not two, but the same thing. On the surface, the birth of life has various forms and joys; The death of life has all kinds of sadness and sorrow. From the enlightened point of view, everything is illusory. Death is like an old house falling down and moving to a new home. The body is like a damaged house, so is a good body. In fact, life is death, death is life, life is not real life, and death is not real death. The reason why we are greedy for life and hate death is because "I hold" is worship. Once I hold it, the chaos, turmoil and pain of the world will come like a shadow. Without self, life is death, death is life, life and death are the same, and you can get great liberation and freedom now. The Buddha's mood at this time is just like the Prajna Heart Sutra's "Seeing five aggregates is empty". Besides my persistence, I can prove that I am empty, so I can survive all hardships and transcend the cycle of life and death.

Fourth, the Buddha realized that I was not treated differently from all human beings and everything. Although it is grass and gravel, there is also Bodhi Daoism, which is equal. The Buddha issued a declaration that shocked the ancient and modern times, saying, "What a miracle! It's amazing! All beings in the world have the wisdom and virtue of Tathagata, but they cannot prove it because of delusion. " All sentient beings have their own Buddha nature, but all sentient beings are immersed in the sea of life and death. The Buddha testified that everything is contained in the law of the origin of all laws. The so-called origin is to wait for fate, without independence and constancy. The so-called origin, that is, mutual cause, mutual cause and close relationship between things, people and I are one, you and I are not two, and even everything is the same. Life runs through each other and blends together, without barriers or obstacles. All life is triggered by Tathagata, born in Bodhi seeds, I am a sentient being, and all beings are me. Because everything is integrated, there is no difference between caring for Buddha and all beings. I don't help you, but love yourself. I hate you, but I hate myself. If we can understand this, we should respect and tolerate each other. Because the Buddha realized the reality, he raised great compassion and equality, and saved all sentient beings who were one with him with great wisdom.

-The above points are the core content of the whole Buddhism, or the most important values and the most meaningful life concept in life. Although the author uses the vernacular translation of this passage by the famous master of Chinese studies, Mr. nan huaijin, I believe that due to the lack of wisdom and blessing, there are still some people who don't know much about it, or even know what it means.

I want to further dilute this passage into a language that is easy for everyone to understand. It looks like this:

First of all, Buddha is a human being. Although it is recorded in history that he is an ancient Indian prince, no matter a prince or a commoner, only through good practice can he surpass himself. Enlighteningly, when modern people still regard wealth and fame as the only pursuit of life, the Buddha 2500 years ago has seen through the truth of the world. He believes that no amount of money and power can solve all the problems and pains in life. So he resolutely left the court aristocracy and embarked on the road of practice without hesitation.

Through arduous and unprecedented practice, the Buddha finally achieved the great transcendence of himself under the bodhi tree-at the same time, it proved that human potential can reach a very high level-and he really eliminated all the pain and confusion and became an omniscient and omniscient wise man. In meditation, the Buddha saw six karma for the reincarnation of all beings, and he was shocked to point out the moral laws of karma in the world.

As the saying goes: "Good is rewarded with good, evil with evil, not failing to report, not failing to report", which is an empirical interpretation of Buddhism by later wise men. He also said that "all good should be pursued, and all evil should not be done", "don't do it because of small good, don't do it because of small evil" and so on.

Through unparalleled practice, the Buddha saw the reality of equality of all things, and he believed that whether it was plants, animals or humans; Whether it's a kitten, a river or a person; All of them are "sentient beings without righteousness, sharing the same wisdom", all have the same genes since ancient times, all have the same right and value of survival, and all should live in harmony and prosper together. This is the Buddha's unparalleled view of compassion, life and values.

Because the Buddha saw the real background that everything is causal, interrelated and integrated with each other with a unique eye, he particularly emphasized that people should have the spirit of consciousness. If a person wakes up, does good deeds and studies well, it will also drive others to become better, then the whole society will gradually become better; On the contrary, if one person goes bad and two people go bad ... then society will slowly rot and no one will have a good life. In other words, people should have a holistic concept. People should not only live for themselves and their families, but also think of others and society. People can't harm the overall interests for selfish reasons, which is actually harming themselves. Buddha believes that as the person with the highest wisdom, he should shoulder the responsibility of sharing the fate with others. The future of the world is in the hands of people, who can create happiness or destroy the world. ...

So he advocates that everyone should have love-for others-and for himself. ...

Back to reality, we live in a world where people are not old, the world is getting worse, morality is declining and society is corrupt. People's various pains in it are indescribable, and everyone has felt the same way, needless to say. So how can we find a harmonious life and happiness? The Buddha said that we should start with self-awakening and self-improvement. ...

I am reminded of the magical and beautiful flower of Bodhi-the flower of Bodhi, the flower of wisdom, the flower of consciousness-is your flower of Bodhi in full bloom?
