An overwhelming love, giving up the throne just for the love of my life

"Love That Overwhelms a Country"

The story is based on the life story of Mrs. Simpson Wallis.

The film adopts a two-line structure, telling the legendary romance between King Edward VIII of England and American woman Wallis Simpson. Edward, who "didn't love the country but loved the beauty", made Wallis bear all the infamy in the name of love.

Another line is that in 1998, New York woman Wally Wittrop was fascinated by the love story of Wallis and Edward while facing the cold violence of her husband. She collected all information about Wallis and visited the exhibitions at the auction of Wallis's belongings over and over again. After visiting the exhibition hall many times, I met the security guard there. She found the passion she had not seen for a long time.

The movie is overall beautiful and very literary. The art, soundtrack, and photography are all great. Madonna’s independent thinking on love and life is added to it. At least it's watchable and not a bad movie. It really makes people wonder whether Sister Mai stole a lot of lessons from the director’s ex-husband Guy Ritchie.

What is love? Its occurrence depends on fate, and its long-term maintenance depends on the sacrifice and compromise of both parties. Love, or happiness, is not so easy to obtain.
