When did people in China start using cameras?
Photography was introduced to China in the second year after the French published Daguerre's photography, namely 1840. Photography was first introduced to China in Hongkong and Guangdong. Followed by Shanghai, Ningbo, Hangzhou and other southeast coastal cities. Afong Lai in Hongkong, Zou Baiqi in Guangdong, Luo Wenyou in Shanghai, and Erwoxuan in Hangzhou. It is worth mentioning that Zou Baiqi (18 19~ 1869) made his own cameras and tools. He once wrote Tool Cloth for Photography and Luo 1869. Since 1950s, Afong Lai has opened a photo studio in Hongkong. He is a first-class photographer in Hong Kong. The important thing is that Zou Baiqi made the first camera in China at 1844 and used it for photography.
