Photography was introduced to China in the second year after the French published Daguerre's photography, namely 1840. Photography was first introduced to China in Hongkong and Guangdong. Followed by Shanghai, Ningbo, Hangzhou and other southeast coastal cities. Afong Lai in Hongkong, Zou Baiqi in Guangdong, Luo Wenyou in Shanghai, and Erwoxuan in Hangzhou.
