Yuan Meiyun's Ten-year Struggle

There are difficulties behind prosperity.

Stars appear in front of the public and flowers applaud, which makes people feel that life always gives them a smiling face. In fact, the work of a star also needs hard work. Injuries in filming are common on the set. Yuan Meiyun suffered a lot when she filmed Miss Sister in Yihua Company. Most companies' studios have underground floors. When filming in the evening, Yuan Meiyun went to the dressing room to change clothes. She accidentally stepped on the air and fell from the ground to the ground. She fainted on the spot. The basement is full of nails and blocks of wood. She hurt her knee and woke up screaming in pain. While the actor Wang Yin was on the set, he jumped down and saved her.

For the life spent in front of the camera in these years, Yuan Meiyun once sighed when shooting A Dream of Red Mansions at 1944: "I always live a game-like life in the play, and I have gradually become tired from fatigue. At first, it was a novel temptation, which made me happy at work. Later, my courage became as small as sesame seed ... Anyone who has worked in the film industry for a little year will have a kind of * * *, often making himself unable to eat or drink for the release of a drama. I always think it's good to shoot for myself again. But how can things be as simple as you think ... I am most afraid of media criticism-especially in recent years. " (Ten-year struggle history of my screen career, Volume II, No.6, New Cinema, 1944, May 10, writing responsibility: reflow)

At this point, Yuan Meiyun has resigned in an interview with a magazine. "I have been in the film circle for eleven years ... now there are more and more new actors, and my acting skills have improved rapidly. I really admire it and I am very humble. So, I often think it's time to retire. At the same time, my health has been getting worse recently. I can't shoot any more. If you shoot too much, you have to lie in bed-if it weren't for my family, I would have stopped shooting! Because I have always been arrogant, I don't want to rely entirely on my husband to support my family. I don't want to hear my parents lament the pain of not having a son. Now I'm not like my son? " (Ten years of struggle in my screen career)

After A Dream of Red Mansions, Yuan Meiyun gradually gained weight, and her youthful charm gradually declined. However, Gu Lanjun, Chen and others became popular one after another, and Yuan Meiyun gradually declined, leaving no influential works. She died on 1948. Take charge of Hua Dan, with pillars, young.

In Yihua Company, Yuan Meiyun is in charge of Hua Dan, and Wang Yin is the pillar. When they co-starred in Tide of China for the first time, they attracted each other's feelings. Yuan Meiyun's mother and adoptive father Yuan Zhuode stopped her, and Yuan Meiyun and her adoptive father still had an economic account. After two people meet the requirements of two guardians financially, they can get married as they wish and grow old together.

1938, Yuan Meiyun and Wang Yin both joined Xinhua Film Company, and Wang Yin changed from an actor to a director. Most of his films are starring Yuan Meiyun, who is an enviable silver-haired lover.

Everyone takes it for granted that a husband and wife partner who guides and acts must be the most tacit cooperation, but Yuan Meiyun disagrees. "As soon as we get home, no one likes to talk about film work. Do you think it's time for a person to have a rest when he comes home after working in a photography studio for more than ten hours? I think our own director can only restrain himself and dare not act boldly, for fear that he will be a little unconvinced if he talks too much, and that his own people will be embarrassed to criticize workers in the workplace, so once he restrains himself, his performance will be dull. I would rather have someone else direct, so that if I am wrong, I can naturally listen to the director's guidance and correct it. " (Ten years of struggle in my screen career)

After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, the couple went to Hong Kong to set up "Liangyou Film Company". Wang Yin is the planner and director, and sometimes he is the protagonist. Yuan Meiyun naturally starred, but after 1948, she no longer appeared on the screen for physical reasons, so she helped Wang Yin make a film. After liberation, they also went to Taiwan Province Province, the United States and other places to film. Yuan Meiyun photographed her brightest youth on a black-and-white screen. Vampires (1950) ...
