Interpretation of Everything in Zhou Lili

Lily's week (hereinafter referred to as Lily's week), a double D5, 146 minute movie, I thought I didn't have the patience to sit in front of the computer for that long. However, when the green wheat fields and the sloping sky shook before my eyes again, those helpless teenagers stood in the wheat fields again, listening to Zhou Lili's music. With the overwhelming soundtrack of Takeshi Kobayashi, the subtitles slowly slipped, and I realized how long I had spent 146 minutes.

When I read Love Letter a few years ago, I always liked the scenes of teenage Fujii and teenage Fujii. I feel that the pure unrequited love knot in middle school is really a beautiful card inserted in the youth album. Unfortunately, such a paragraph in the love letter is not long enough, which makes me very dissatisfied. So I'm looking forward to Shunji Iwai, a film that is said to tell the story of middle school students. I thought the story of 146 minutes was not enough!

However, the middle school in the film is very different from Fujii. Xiong Yi, Hoshino and Fujii don't seem to live under the same blue sky. Their lives are not as pure as snow as love letters, nor as bright as the green wheat fields at the beginning of Lily Zhou, and their youth is gray.

Although the first thing you see is a green wheat field, the confusion of a white boy bowing his head without saying a word actually implies that this is a film about youth confusion more than youth joy. What I didn't expect, however, was that this is such a cruel youth story, and Shunji Iwai continued his black feelings in The Butterfly. If watching Kitano Takeshi's "Bad Boy's Sky" still makes me feel that these bad children still have a little hope, then this movie even makes me feel that youth is so desperate, how can we grow up? I'm in a trance. How did I get through such a difficult youth?

Lonely young soul, crying in Shunji Iwai's movies: Xiong Yi and Hoshino were very good friends. Although they both have families, they are all lonely. Xiong Yi lives with his mother, stepfather and his younger brother, lacking communication and care. Hoshino has a beautiful young mother, but obviously her mother doesn't give Hoshino enough love. So two lonely hearts came together. In fact, brotherhood is also a very good memory of our middle school days. Having a good friend who talks about everything is also a rare gain in middle school life. In a sense, its value is no less than the beauty of unrequited love. However, Shunji Iwai let the hero ruin all this.

At the beginning of the film, Xiong Yi, Hoshino and several other teenagers stole bags and CDs, which has already told us that they are all "bad boys". In order to realize their wish to travel to Okinawa in the summer vacation, they did not hesitate to rob the street. If all this is for youth, maybe I will feel that youth can turn back. However, great changes have taken place since then. These teenagers were very happy when they went to Okinawa to play, but at the end of the journey, they witnessed a bizarre death. This death changed Hoshino's character and destroyed their friendship. This is the only thing that surprises me about this movie. This change has brought great changes to the protagonist, which can only be explained from the particularity of the individual. So the next sky became darker and the truly cruel youth began. Hoshino began to become more brutal and overbearing. He openly insulted the emaciated boys, forced the girls in the class to communicate with each other, and asked others to rape kuya, the most beautiful girl in the class. When he did all this, Xiong Yi did not leave Xingye. Perhaps all this has not touched the interests of Xiong Yi. However, when Hoshino destroyed Xiong Yi's favorite Lily Zhou CD, beat Xiong Yi and even forced him to masturbate in front of everyone, Xiong Yi couldn't stand it.

The last sky in Xiong Yi collapsed because of the virtual network. When there was no love in his life, even his only friendship with Hoshino vanished with the wind, he found the Internet. A large number of BBS words are displayed with subtitles and sounds, which occupies a considerable length of the film, which I can't stand in the film. The theme of these BBS*** is Zhou Lili, a somewhat mysterious singer. Xiong Yi met a "green cat" who also likes Zhou Lili very much on the Internet. The screen name is "Philia". He thought he had found love again. However, at the entrance of Lily Zhou's live concert, he saw Hoshino holding a green apple that was used as a contact sign, which read "Green Cat". ...

Hoshino teased Xiong Yi for the last time, and Xiong Yi responded with a knife. When the warm afternoon sun shines in Xiong Yi, everything is like a dream. Stealing, robbing, raping and killing, such youth, is it the juvenile life of bad children? When the film was shown at the Shanghai International Film Festival, it was renamed "The Time of the Cardamom". I think this name is a bit ironic. If this time is as beautiful as the cardamom years, can only "jihad" ("The Great Escape") be called cruel youth?

Shunji Iwai once again silenced me with his slow rhythm, exquisite pictures and loud music, but this time I thought: If bad children have no love and no sky like Xiong Yi and Hoshino, where can they fly even if they grow wings?
