How to shoot the most complete snow scene in winter

1. 【 Shooting Snow Scene 】 Basic Settings

White balance:

Snow scenes generally need to be cooled down, so the k value of white balance should be lowered appropriately. It is important to note that the color temperature should not be adjusted too low. If the blue color is adjusted too deep, it will appear false.

Key points:

When shooting a snow scene, I'm afraid it's impossible to focus on a large piece of glistening snow, so when focusing, you can focus on a place that is not white, so you can focus.

Photometric determination:

When shooting snow scenes, the picture is often dark, which can't show the whiteness and purity of snow. This is mainly caused by the photometric principle of the camera. In addition to using pure manual gear, we can also improve it by adjusting exposure compensation. The most basic principle is "white plus black MINUS", that is, when shooting a large area of white, increase the exposure compensation appropriately.

Shoot different forms of snowflakes

Pat the frozen snowflakes in the air.

① Select the shutter priority mode, and it is suggested that the shutter speed should not be lower than 1/500 s.

② The darker the background, the higher the visibility of snowflakes.

③ The sensitivity is set to automatic mode.

Tap the snowflake line

① Choose an environment with deep background.

② The shutter speed is about1125s.

(3) The snowflakes photographed in this way will form lines.

(4) If you want to shoot the snowflake trajectory, slow down the shutter speed.

3. How to protect your equipment in snowy days?

① Keep warm when going out to shoot, and prepare the battery. When shooting, you can wrap the lens and fuselage with plastic film, only revealing the display.

Snow falling on the fuselage may melt into water quickly. It can be wiped off in time with absorbent cotton or lens paper, or it can be removed by blowing. When the temperature is low, don't blow directly with your mouth, because the hot air from your mouth will melt the snow and quickly frost and stick to the lens, which is even more troublesome.

(3) Put it into moistureproof box as soon as possible after shooting, and pay attention to avoid fogging the lens.

4. Color matching skills in the late snow scene

① Improve contrast/highlight highlights and reduce shadows! (Highlighting snowflakes)

2 improve the clarity to get hazy!

The above two points are the most important, and the rest of the colors and tones are according to your own preferences. Let's take pictures when it snows!
