There is a secret place hidden in Niushou Mountain in Nanjing. The scenery is as beautiful as heaven. Have you ever been there?

Nanjing is a popular tourist city. Besides the famous Confucius Temple and Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, Niushou Mountain is a scenic spot that must be mentioned. There is a proverb in Nanjing since ancient times, which is called "Bull's head in spring and Qixia in autumn". Although the maple leaves in Qixia Mountain in autumn are beautiful, Niushou Mountain, a Buddhist shrine full of Zen, is also very popular with tourists.

Today, Niushou Mountain is the "Nanjing Niushou Mountain Cultural Tourism Zone", a national 4A-level tourist attraction and a famous Buddhist shrine in China. It is located in Jiangning District, Nanjing, and is named after the "corner" of the east-west twin peaks.

Niushou Mountain is a famous Buddhist mountain with beautiful scenery and profound cultural heritage. As early as five years of filial piety in Liu Song in the Southern Dynasties, monks lived in caves on the south slope of the west peak of Niushou Mountain. Niushou Mountain was once called "Xianku Mountain", and its profound Buddhist culture also attracted many tourists.

From the east entrance of Niushou Mountain, you can see a beautiful place not far away, called "Foding Front Yard", which is in front of Foding Temple in Niushou Mountain. The entire front garden of Foding covers an area of about 150 mu, and it was opened as early as 20 18. Before that, perhaps, you took a tour bus to the top holy place of Buddha, so that you ignored this beautiful place.

Foding front yard is the main pedestrian passage leading to Foding Temple. Along the way, you can see Tianque Range Rover Cultural Wall, Ten Bull Map, Xinlian Square, Jixian Bridge, Yumeixuan and Xin Ming Wall. From near to far, there are three levels of landscape, namely, Qian Yuan Square, Lake, Mountain, Jade Belt and Temple. Is the color of the mountain yes or no? Looking around, it looks like a quiet and beautiful ink painting, which makes people linger.

You can see a sparkling swimming pool in the central landscape. The pool water is clear and green, and there are many goldfish swimming around in it, which attracts many tourists, including many monks from afar. The goldfish playing in the pool is quite poetic and Zen, which left a deep impression on people.

Through the misty water and yellowed jungle, you can see the figure of the Buddha at the top of the tower. Foding Pagoda is a Tang-style pagoda. 88 meters high, towering in front of the Buddha's top palace. It is one of the landmark buildings of Niushou Mountain. You can climb to the top of the Buddha Tower and get a panoramic view of Niushou Mountain.

The scenery of Niushou Mountain, which is gradually entering the late autumn, is also very beautiful, not losing the Niushou Mountain in spring at all, and the landscape here is very unique. The mountains are surrounded by water and the jungle is quiet, creating a Zen-like picture. When you are in it, all the unhappiness of the whole person will be relieved at once.

On the other side of the pool, you can see an arched stone bridge. This stone bridge is called "Jixian Bridge", which is named after the name of a monk and famous allusions related to Niushou Mountain are engraved on the bridge body. The whole stone bridge has five arches, with a total length of about 60 meters. From a distance, it looks like a flying rainbow across the water, and the misty scenery on the pool looks like an ink painting.

In Chi Pan, there is also a long corridor imitating tang style, named Yumeixuan. In Yumeixuan, ethereal gauze curtains can be seen everywhere. When the breeze blows, the gauze curtain dances with the wind, showing an ancient painting style. If you are tired during the trip, you can take a nap here. If you are lucky, you can meet woman costume playing the guzheng here. It feels absolutely beautiful.

You can see Foding Temple not far from Jixian Bridge. Foding Temple has a very long history, which can be traced back to the early years of the Southern Dynasties. Foding Temple flourished especially in Zhenguan period of Tang Dynasty, and the scale of the temple was very large. At that time, it was named "Foku Temple", which was the birthplace of "Niu Shouchan".

Today's Foding Temple is a Tang-style building. The buildings in the temple are built along the traditional central axis model. If you are interested, you must see it, especially the Tang architecture here.
