The first sharping (The Shining)
(Kubrick 1980)
Watching horror movies, the more you watch, the less you feel horrible. Even the classic horror film The Exorcist will be numb and never be afraid again. But there are exceptions to everything, and the more you look at it, the more horrible it is.
The Shining is Kubrick's classic work. Stephen King once criticized Kubrick for not knowing what a horror film is, but Kubrick handled it very well. He knows how to use fragments of daily life or extremely ordinary things to create a horrible atmosphere. His clever use of the shape of the room is doubtful. There seems to be something on the ceiling, there seems to be a monster eating people in the corridor, and the long corridor is very scary. The brief and flashing killing scene is completely bloodless but creepy.
His shooting technique is also one of the reasons for successfully scaring the audience. He used the depth-of-field lens, the latest camera stabilizer and accelerated editing to make the audience afraid to look at the atmosphere.
In addition to the shooting technique, the actor's acting skills also contributed. Sally Hua Du plays a frightened housewife trapped in a hotel with Danny, and her acting skills are superb.
And Jack Nicholson, he is a good man. The ghost in the hotel turned him into a ferocious monster. Maybe the director kept remaking it and made him angry.
Stephen King doesn't like Kubrick to shoot only his favorite novel fragments, which makes the whole movie intermittent and fragmented, but he also has to admit that this movie is really horrible, and it is horrible to watch it many times.
The second exorcist (exorcist)
(William Frigin 1973)
The Exorcist is a horror film with few box office. William Frickin made a film about a little girl possessed by a demon. Except for some amazing stunts (such as floating with a bed, etc. ), the little girl speaks rudely and out of proportion, which makes people feel that she is a different person because of the devil's upper body.
The third "Jaws"
(Spielberg 1975)
Spielberg, the great director, scared many audiences with a mechanical rubber shark. He created an extremely suspenseful and tense atmosphere with highly frightening skills. Besides rubber props, he also attaches great importance to the performances of actors-roy scheider, robert shaw and Richard Dreyfuss, whose acting skills are comparable to fast-moving rubber.
The fourth "moonlight flustered" (Halloween)
(Strong Carpenter 1978)
Director Jon Carpenter successfully used the wide-screen composition to create a vast space, which made people feel that something would suddenly appear in this empty space. What is even more frightening is that something suddenly jumped out where the audience did not pay attention.
The fifth "texas chainsaw massacre, Texas"
(Toby Hooper)
The film is based on the true story of the perverted murderer Ed Gaine, but there are only a few bloody scenes.
The sixth night of the living dead (night of the living dead).
(george romero 1968)
This movie is a turning point of modern horror movies, and director Romero scares people with a large number of bodies. This is the first horror film to create a black hero.
The seventh Alien (Alien)
(ridley scott 1979)
The story is that there are terrible space creatures on the spaceship. Director Scott slowly and carefully created an atmosphere of terror.
The eighth nightmare of elm street
(Wes Calvin 1984)
Calvin, the director, created Freddy Kruger in an innovative way, the monster that frightened children the most.
The ninth "lotus flower ghost knife" (don't watch it now)
(Nicholas Rowe 1973)
Donald sutherland and Julie Christie performed well in this supernatural horror film. This film is also famous for creating tension effectively.
The tenth "bird"
(Hitchcock 1963)
This is Hitchcock's scariest movie. His carefully created terror background and atmosphere was a great success. This is also my favorite horror movie, which is worth mentioning. In any case, it should be included in the top ten.
