When love meets persistence in prose

I know my uncle likes photography, but I didn't expect him to have a deep knowledge in this field.

Just a few days ago, a group of his works named "Regong June Meeting" was strongly recommended by the WeChat public platform number of Zhuozhou Photographers Association. Uncle Liu Lianzhong, who doesn't know much about the webpage, is a member of China Photographers Association, a member of Hebei Photographers Association, and a special photographer of China Photo Agency. He likes documentary and humanistic photography, and his works have won many awards in national and provincial competitions.

Before, I only knew that Big Uncle was a member of China Petroleum Photographers Association. In the second "I Contribute Oil to the Motherland" photo contest held by China Petroleum, he won the gold medal in one fell swoop with his work "Geophysical Exploration in Mountainous Areas" (photos) and became one of the six gold medal winners. At the same time, two other works also won silver and bronze awards. My uncle is just an ordinary member of petroleum geophysicists. He is neither a professional nor a photographer. He can get such a high prize only because of his hobby. This really surprised me.

But when you think about it, the grand prize is not easy to win. Behind this is love, dedication and persistence.

After graduating from the Petroleum Geophysical School, Dajiu 198 1 was assigned to participate in the petroleum battle in Tarim, Xinjiang, and became a petroleum geophysicist, working in the field for more than 20 years. Because of the nature of field work, my uncle traveled all over the country and saw the hardships of oil people's field work and the local customs. Since the 1990s, he has picked up the camera and used the lens to record the dribs and drabs around him. I was still in primary school at that time. I remember my uncle always likes to take pictures with his camera every time he goes back to his hometown. There is a photo taken by my uncle, which I still cherish-in the photo, I am sitting on a golden corn heap in my childhood, showing my white teeth and smiling brightly. That picture is really beautiful! Although I didn't know what art was when I was a child, I still thought it was really great for my uncle to take such photos.

For more than 20 years, Daxiu has become a full-fledged photography "enthusiast" because of his love for photography. He attended several photography training classes at his own expense, studied photography knowledge seriously and systematically, took a lot of photos, and opened blogs and WeChat to facilitate communication with film friends. Uncle keeps up with the times and insists on his hobbies, and his photography level is naturally getting higher and higher.

In recent years, uncle has been taking photos of his most familiar petroleum geophysicist. Every year, he goes to the field team to collect the wind, and uses the lens to truly express the sufferings and joys of front-line workers. I remember when my uncle won the gold medal in the photo contest "I donate oil for my motherland", I called to congratulate him. His story left a deep impression on me-he was born in 1955 and was nearly 60 years old at that time. In order to reflect the work situation of frontline oil workers, he braved the high temperature of 40 degrees in Xinjiang in hot summer, camped for a few days with young and strong field workers, and climbed mountains, sometimes the mountains were too high.

If you don't really love oil, if you don't really love photography, I'm afraid it's hard to do this! In my own words, this is because of the "oil complex".

My love for photography has long been integrated into my uncle's blood and has become a part of his life.

It's love that keeps people going! It is persistence, which makes people respect! When love meets persistence, even ordinary things can shine like pearls.

Today, I am also an oil man who has worked for several years. When I was a child, my uncle was always a great man in my mind. The difference is that when I was a child, I just looked up, but now I have the identity of an oil man like my uncle. I want to follow in the footsteps of oil predecessors like my uncle, because they told me by actions that only by loving and persisting can we go faster and further!
