Yuexi, where our school is located, is an ancient town with a history of more than 2,000 years. Since ancient times, it has been a land with rich humanities and prosperous culture: a group of literati represented by Fan Chengda left a lot of beautiful poems here; Up to now, there are still many cliff stone carvings preserved in the jungle of Yuelu Mountain. The Yuexi River, which passes through the town, sings the legendary story of wuyue's hegemony thousands of years ago day and night ... The vicissitudes of more than 2,000 years have accumulated profound Yuexi cultural heritage. Our school defines it as "Wuyue culture", and under the guidance of the concept of "inheriting the essence of Wuyue culture and enriching the connotation of campus culture", it has embarked on a road with local characteristics.
First of all, the campus environment is integrated into traditional culture, and the characteristics are highlighted through the environment.
Suhomlinski, a famous educator in the Soviet Union, once pointed out: "It is one of the most subtle fields in the education process to educate with the environment and surrounding scenes created by students themselves." Indeed, the so-called "peaches and plums speak for themselves", and the campus environment has a unique educational function. It is a silent textbook, which exerts a subtle influence on students' words and deeds through brick by brick and wall, so that students are naturally influenced, hinted and infected. Based on the above understanding, our school attaches importance to the construction of campus environment, and strives to integrate traditional culture into the campus environment, so that traditional culture can fill every corner of students' campus life and make students feel the charm of traditional culture inadvertently.
The first is to carefully design the poem wall of the square. When you walk into the campus, the first thing you see is the school square. The square is very open, where teachers and students gather, the only way for students to go to and from school, and the place where students like to stop and play during recess. In order to give full play to its functions, our school has carefully designed two cultural walls in the square. The two walls are opposite to each other, on both sides of the square. The wall is not high, the shape is exquisite, and the elegance reveals a strong Soviet atmosphere. The two walls facing the square are inlaid with eight pieces of black marble engraved with the ancient poem "Yong Yue Lai Xi". Among them, Fan Chengda's Moon Laixi in the Song Dynasty, Wang Yan's Moon Laixi Nostalgia in the Ming Dynasty, and Cai Yu's Autumn Laixi in the Ming Dynasty ... "The west wind first entered the sail, and the ripples were light blue; The State of Wu is also strong, and whoever believes in it will be more and more in the army ... "Beautiful poems show the historical changes, historical sites, customs and customs of Yuexi, and are excellent teaching materials for children to learn the excellent ancient poems of the motherland and deeply understand the traditional cultural connotation of their hometown.
The second is to name the building with care. In 2004, our new teaching building was completed and put into use. It was painstaking to name the teaching building at that time. In order to infiltrate regional traditional culture into the names of buildings, so that these silent buildings can also tell touching history, we dig deep into history, search extensively for information, and organize personnel to visit local elders and celebrities. Finally, we named the five buildings "Qichuan Building", "Rong En Building", "Huixi Building", "Zhixiu Building" and "Ruizetang" respectively. Some are named to commemorate the ancient villages and celebrities that have disappeared; Some are named after children to remember the history of this stream; Some of them were named in memory of Xu Dachun, a famous doctor in Qing Dynasty who lived in seclusion in his later years. Others are named in memory of the founders of the school-the first principal, Mr. Zhou Ruibo, and the first teacher, Mr. Ni Enze ... It can be said that each building contains a beautiful story. These stories record the history of Yuexi and shine with the brilliance of culture. The students strolled around the campus as if they were wandering in the splendid cultural world of their hometown.
The third is to carefully arrange the corridor of the cultural auditorium. In addition to the squares and buildings on campus, our school also takes the halls and corridors between buildings as the focus of cultural environment layout. On the south-facing wall of the square hall, the characters "Rain and Rain in Wu Shan, Raising School-age Children" are strong and powerful. This is a lyric in the school song written nearly a hundred years ago when the school was founded. It always inspires all teachers and students to work hard and make progress. Huge posters were posted on both sides of the hall. The paintings show some scenic spots near Yuexi: there are cliff stone carvings on the mountain, temple buildings on the top of the mountain, flowing Yuexi River and unique rural villages ... The contents arranged in the corridor are some local customs and hometown customs of Yuexi: portraits of ancient celebrities of Yuexi, introductions of local customs and customs of Yuexi, and introductions of Wuzhong specialties ... During recess, students can feel the elegance of wuyue scenic spots anytime and anywhere.
In short, we strive to make every brick, tile, grass and tree on campus reflect the unique personality and spirit of the school, give students a noble cultural enjoyment and inspiring feeling, make them become silent and dignified teachers, and play an educational role in which silence trumps sound.
Second, educational activities are closely linked with traditional culture and have full activity.
In order to let China traditional culture really enter every student's heart and let Wuyue culture take root in every local family in Yuexi, our school regards promoting China traditional culture as an important carrier to strengthen students' moral education under the new situation, and strives to explore new ways of school education with regional cultural characteristics.
First of all, traditional culture permeates classroom teaching. Classroom teaching is the direct way for students to receive education in various disciplines, the central work of school education and the main link in the education process. Teachers should base themselves on the main position of the classroom, delve deeply into the textbooks of various subjects, fully tap the "traditional culture" factors contained in the textbooks, and make the "traditional culture" permeate scientifically, regularly and in series. Among them, Chinese course is a basic course with harmonious unity of humanity and instrumentality. To some extent, Chinese teaching itself is a traditional virtue education course. For example, the Qin Terracotta Warriors and Horses, with unbreakable beliefs, bad luck, courage to taste and distinctive themes, are full of brilliant ideas of excellent traditional culture and have strong attraction. We ask teachers to make full use of these valuable teaching themes, so that students can feel the powerful charm of Chinese culture while reading and writing, and stimulate great enthusiasm for patriotism and love for their hometown. As the German educator Dostoevsky said: "Any real teaching is not only to provide knowledge, but also to educate students."
The second is to highlight traditional culture in theme activities. Adhering to the tenet of "inheriting the essence of Wuyue culture and enriching the connotation of campus culture", our school regularly holds campus cultural theme activities. In recent years, Yuexi Poetry Festival, Local Story Reading Festival, Chuanquan Culture Festival, New Hometown Picture Painting Competition and Yuexi Dialect Story Competition have been held successively. The school mobilized all teachers and students to participate, and organized teachers and students to sing folk songs, play local games, write folk stories, draw old street scenes, tell local stories and shoot Yuexi historic sites through singing, playing, writing and other activities. Teachers and students learned about the local customs, accumulated excellent poems and touching stories, produced handwritten newspapers and computer newspapers, and created paintings showing the artistic conception of ancient poetry and prose, and recorded the real feelings of the activities by visiting the elderly, searching online and reading books. Colorful activities further highlight the regional traditional culture, and the school's cultural characteristics are increasingly obvious.
Third, curriculum development relies on traditional culture, with curriculum deepening characteristics.
