Examples of soft-focus photography technology
When shooting, using a soft-focus lens or adding a soft-focus filter in front of the lens can make the image receive a delicate and soft effect, which is called soft-focus photography.
In the design of general photographic lens, various technical means are often used to solve the problems of aberration and chromatic aberration to ensure clear and sharp imaging. However, in order to pursue special soft-focus effect and create a soft picture atmosphere, there are specially designed soft-focus lenses. For example, designing a soft-focus portrait lens and consciously increasing the residual value of some aberrations can make the image clear and soft, thus covering up the facial defects of the characters and increasing the artistic effect of the photos.
In pursuit of soft focus effect, there are two common methods besides using soft focus lens: one is to add soft focus filter or tulle in front of the lens when shooting. The second is to add a soft focus filter or tulle in front of the lens of the magnifying glass when enlarging the photo.
Which method to use depends on the photographer's hobby and experience. Generally, a special soft-focus lens is used, and both the soft light effect and color reproduction of the picture will be better. However, the price of soft-focus lens is relatively high, and the available aperture value and focal length are also limited. Generally, it is about 85 mm portrait lens, so if a soft mirror or gauze is added in front of the lens, it can be free from the limitation of lens focal length, which is more flexible and convenient, and the cost is not high.
Indoor human body This is the human body photographed indoors by using the natural light of the window. Use Nikon camera, 35 ~ 70 mm zoom lens to shoot, choose aperture priority mode, and set the aperture value to F8. When shooting, we don't do any soft focus processing. When enlarging a photo, we can also enhance the soft-focus effect of the picture by adding a soft-focus filter in front of the lens of the magnifying glass.
Outdoor Portrait This is a portrait taken outdoors. Use Nikon camera and 35 ~ 70 mm zoom lens to shoot, choose aperture priority mode, set aperture value to F5.6, and add white yarn in front of the lens when shooting to enhance the feminine effect of the picture. ;
