The Tyrannosaurus rex used in the shooting weighed about 19000 pounds each. Because it is not convenient to move, the crew had to set up a set around.

In the film, the man who was eaten by Tyrannosaurus Rex near the video store in San Diego was the screenwriter david koepp.

Steven Allan Spielberg liked Vince Vaughn's performance in The Full-time Prodigal Son very much, so he starred in this film.

The film's first weekend box office record remained for four and a half years.

Spielberg wanted to invite Juliette Binoche, who refused to play Jurassic Park, to play Sarah. The latter replied that he only wanted to play dinosaurs in the movie.

The producer used 50 stuntmen in the film, while 1993 Jurassic Park had only 13 stuntmen.

Three modified Mercedes-Benz ML-320 s were used in the shooting, one of which was exhibited in the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart.
