Zhengzhou University is a national "2 1 1 project" key construction university, a first-class university, and a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education. The Academy of Fine Arts was founded in 200 1, and it is one of the earliest newly-built departments after the joint running of Zhengzhou University.

2. Zhengzhou Institute of Light Industry

After years of construction and development, the School of Art and Design of Zhengzhou Institute of Light Industry has gradually formed its own school-running characteristics and disciplinary advantages, and has become an important training base for design art talents in Henan and even the whole country. 20 15 won the honorary title of "Advanced Collective of Henan Education System".

The college has the right to award a master's degree in design first-class disciplines and a master's degree in art (art design). The first-level discipline of design is a key discipline in Henan Province and a doctoral program in the school. There are 9 undergraduate majors in product design, clothing and costume design, visual communication design, environmental design, animation, digital media art, painting, arts and crafts (ceramics) and sculpture.

3. Zhongyuan Institute of Technology

Zhongyuan Institute of Technology began to recruit art-related majors from 1986, which has a history of more than 30 years. Design discipline is the eighth and ninth batch of provincial-level key disciplines. The College of Art and Design insists on serving the national design industry and the needs of Henan's economic and social development, and highlights the development ideas of "combining art with industry" and "collaborative innovation of art and technology", thus forming distinctive school-running characteristics and disciplinary advantages.

The college has four undergraduate majors: environmental design, visual communication design, photography and animation, which involve three first-class disciplines under the category of art. The design discipline is a provincial key discipline in Henan Province, and the art discipline is a school-level key discipline. The major of environmental design and visual communication design is a characteristic major in Henan province, and the major of photography is a school-level characteristic major.
