How to take a picture of my hand? Specifically, my camera is Panasonic GX- 1.
This rule is unavoidable in manual photography. Let's discuss how to add color to our photos with reasonable lighting:)
First of all, our condition has been set to civil grade+double lamps. In other words, in addition to the camera, we will try our best to achieve various light and shadow effects with low-cost design.
PS: Because it is an introduction to lighting, all the photos in this article are just late cropping and white balance correction, without any special effects!
Let's review the basic principles of lighting:
cite
In most cases, shooting a simulated work needs to show the real shape and details, so I won't talk about special shooting techniques for the time being. Our requirements for the work are two points-accurate colors and clear details, so the lighting is aimed at these two points.
First of all, if you want to shoot seriously, please make sure to close the curtains, turn off the headlights and turn on only the lights you use for lighting. Because other light sources will seriously affect the white balance of photos, and will also destroy your shaping of objects.
Secondly, a unified principle to remember is that lighting needs to do three things: one is to outline the object with highlights, the other is to diffuse the theme you need to express, and the third is to create shadows on the surface of the object (not the background), which are indispensable. Without highlights to outline, objects will sink into the background and lose their impact. Without surface light, there is no detail, and without creating shadows, there is no three-dimensional sense. That's why I strongly recommend two lights to shoot, so that they can do their own jobs. Adapt to various shapes.
After a period of training, everyone's photography technology and photography theory have also improved, which has been out of the level of "picking up and shooting", so we should consider a problem before starting shooting; How to shoot in front of the model/hand? Or, why should I film it? For example, is it evaluated as a toy? Or as a portrait? Only when this is determined can we determine the light distribution method we will use.
First of all, I want to make an evaluation.
The requirements for evaluating works are prominent theme, clear imaging and rich details, which truly reflect the original appearance of the object. According to this purpose, the following two commonly used lighting schemes are recommended:
1, highlight distribution on both sides:
The highlight on both sides is to arrange a lamp on the upper left and upper right of the object, and distinguish the main and auxiliary by controlling the distance and brightness. Because there is no obvious dark part, in most cases, there is no need to fill the light tool.
The position of the lamp is as shown in the figure:
According to the civil principle, we don't have a professional soft light board ... so we use an antique napkin instead ... Here, the right main light and the left auxiliary light are designed, so the right cover has one floor and the left cover has three floors ... It can also be realized by increasing the distance between the left lights.
In this light position, the photos we got have the following effects:
This lamp position is almost one of the most widely used lamp positions. Its advantages are large light coverage, soft effect and no loss of dark details. It can be used in the evaluation of works of all themes, especially suitable for expressing the gentleness and innocence of girls. The disadvantage is that the direction of the light source is relatively rigid, and the three-dimensional performance is slightly insufficient.
2. Flat light+top light+fill light before measurement (my personal favorite light level)
This light level is to arrange 0~45% of the main light (as required) in the direction that the object needs to be emphasized in parallel, and then arrange the top light on the top of the object, and then use the bright reflective material opposite the main light to fill the dark part and add details. According to the civilian principle, we don't have a reflector ... so we use antique A4 paper.
The light level arrangement is as follows:
After careful observation of various parts, we noticed that catalpa meow's knees were very bent, which might block the light at the top and make a large dark surface appear on the vamp, so we filled the shoes with post-it notes separately. It's ok not to fill in here, but it's not obvious at first sight, but paying attention to details often makes it easier for us to shoot satisfactory works, so it's not a loss to form a habit: P
In this light position, the photo effect we get is as follows:
The dark light fill here is enough, A4 paper is fully qualified for the light fill work, but if you really need a stronger dark light fill to reduce the contrast of the picture, then we can make the best use of it according to the principle of popularization. If you have FIGMA's early works, such as Liang Gong series, in which the background paper is not patterned, but a highly reflective cardboard, then we can use it as a light supplement material.
It's really bright ... You can look in the mirror:
Using this background paper to fill the light, we got the following photos:
The change is obvious, but this paper can't reflect light widely, and it will have mottled reflection, so be careful when using it. ...
The biggest advantage of this light distribution method is that it can well reflect the three-dimensional sense of the object, with rich shadows in the middle tone and strong layering. It can also be used for the evaluation of shooting all subjects, especially suitable for expressing the firmness or liveliness of objects, and it is the first lighting method in the evaluation of robot subjects. The disadvantage is that when the contrast between light and dark is relatively large, the grasp of the dark part fill light needs to be comprehensive and meticulous, otherwise it is easy to lose the dark part details, which is the taboo of evaluation. In addition, this light level is harder than the previous one, which can be compared by observing the folds of clothes. ...
Second, I want to express the role itself.
This is the starting point of love ... to express the theme of the character itself, without sticking to many evaluation frameworks, in order to show the most beautiful angle of the character or create a wonderful artistic conception for it. Under this starting point, there are various ways of light distribution, and there is no complete formula. Everything is guided by the author's creativity. It can be said that how bold you are, how productive he is.
Here, I just quote some lighting techniques of portrait photography to show our love from many angles, hoping to arouse more creativity of experts.
Of course, before that, let's talk about the two light distribution schemes used in the previous evaluation. It's not inapplicable from such a starting point, so don't rigidly divide the light level purposefully.
1, basic
To show people with flesh and blood, let's first understand the most commonly used basic lighting, that is, the arrangement of the main light on the front and the auxiliary light on the camera side. Because hand-held photography does not need eye lights and headlights, the two lights are very comfortable.
The side light of the camera ... based on the principle of civilians, there is no landing camera light ... so ...
Then continue to cover the artifact napkin on the principle of civilians.
Continue to adhere to the principle of civilians, of course, there is no landing high-power main light, so a small light is put nearby ... The overall effect is as follows:
Under the above illumination levels, the photo effects we obtained are as follows:
2.crocodiles
Writing here, I found that this light bitmap was lost ... tears ... Simply put, the so-called crocodile light is the light level of the front high-level main light and the front low-level auxiliary light, and the distance between light and dark is adjusted according to the color and size of the object. This light level is suitable for people with round faces (preferably women). The light coverage is very uniform and natural, and soft shadows can be left on both sides of the cheeks, which not only increases the three-dimensional sense of the face, but also makes the face of the object look thinner than before, which is a good light level for plastic surgery.
The effect is as follows:
What needs special attention in this light level is the distance control of the auxiliary lamp.
If it is too close, the effect will become the picture below, and the face looks oily.
Too far away, the face will lose its vitality;
3, butterflies (note: if it is a Japanese girl image, this kind of light is generally not used, mainly because of the face shape, the effect is relatively poor, see the picture; Only the method is introduced here)
In fact, butterfly lamp is the basis of crocodile lamp, and the specific arrangement is front highlight+camera side auxiliary lamp.
The light level arrangement is as follows:
At this light level, the photo effects we obtained are as follows:
Since it is the basis of crocodile light, it is naturally suitable for shooting female characters, and it is more suitable for shooting those charming and coquettish characters. The higher the nose, the better. The butterfly-shaped shadow left under the brow bone and nose wing on the face can express these characteristics well. At the same time, the subject's face should not be too sharp-so it is not suitable as a kind of lighting for Japanese girls, but it seems that part of the word 12 inch beauty meets this condition.
4. Men
Did you talk for a long time? Sister Guang, the man is unhappy. Let's introduce the light position specially created for the man-the man's main light!
First of all, this kind of light level is best combined with the side or semi-side of a man, and then the main light is arranged on the side where the man's face is less exposed, while the auxiliary light is arranged in the same direction as the main light on the camera side, which requires the brightness of the auxiliary light to be much lower than that of the main light.
The light level is as follows: according to the civil principle, the brightness of the lamp is not adjustable ... so it is covered with 6 layers of cultural relics.
Under the above illumination levels, the photo effects we obtained are as follows:
How's it going? Do you think even hyenas have become men?
So much for the introduction of light levels. In fact, the light level of people and things is far more than the real light level, but our premise is civilians+double lights, so I chose the above four light levels which are more practical for manual model photography.
Third, make the best use of everything and create special effects for civilians.
Since we want to take good photos of love, I don't think everyone will be satisfied with just various souvenirs, but also want to take various artistic photos with different effects, right? Now, in line with the principle of popularization, we will pick up all available cheap objects around us to create our own special effects photos.
1, CD fill light
We know that A4 paper can fill the light, but under special needs, there is another artifact to fill the light, that is, engraving! After the CD is engraved, there will be many grooves on the back, which can reflect very colorful brilliance and look much better than a blank CD. If you have an engraved CD, don't throw it away.
As the picture shows, we surrounded catalpa meow with three CDs.
Looking at the edges of shoes and guitars, you can clearly see colorful lights. Because catalpa meow as a whole is dull, only these parts have obvious effects. If you want to shoot oil paintings, such as super alloy robots, the effect of CD reflection will be more exciting.
2. Color change of light source
A light source with a color temperature of 5500 can't take a picture ... what should I do? It's simple. We eat colored transparent candy paper peeled off by sugar, which is a sharp weapon for civilians. As long as we stand in front of the light source, we can create different colors of light sources! In the example, I forgot to put it away when I shot it last time ... As a result, the hourly worker naturally didn't know the value of the artifact and threw it away. -,so I ... wronged the red-violet octupole ... temporarily borrowed the light wing =v=
This is the scene taken from the camera eyepiece with a card machine after illumination. You can see that the color temperature has changed obviously, but the white balance of this card machine is not good ... in fact, it is quite different from the effect seen by the naked eye. =? =
Finally, the photos we got have the following effects:
3. Self-made spotlights to create eye-catching big stars.
The spotlight on the stage is always chasing the most striking object on the stage. Of course, we hope to be our favorite role, but in line with the principle of popularization, of course, there is no spotlight ... now let's create this stage spotlight effect ourselves.
Zero-cost production ... white paper (black paper is better) is rolled into a tube and pasted transparently, and you're done- -
Installation, direction adjustment and light distribution diagram are as follows:
In the light above, we got the following photo effect:
But we found that the effect is not what we imagined ... The analysis is as follows:
1, light level is too low. Limited by the height of the studio, the spotlight is not shot from the top of the head, but from the face, and the effect is not good.
2. The environment is too bright to create an eye-catching effect.
In order to verify the feasibility of this method, we adjusted the environment and objects, made figma's head into a lower-level protagonist, and changed the black background, and the result was immediate!
Facts have proved that this method is feasible, and we just need to find a way to create a high light level, so I won't go into details here, and I haven't found a suitable place. Let's continue to make good use of paper tubes, turn the shortcomings of the previous analysis into advantages, and create another spotlight effect:
You can basically see something through the eyepiece:
Excluding the interference of high-light environment, we got this effect. Does it feel good?
So what are you going to do next?
White balance shadow?
White balance incandescent lamp?
Or a simple black-and-white mode?
Ren Jun's Creation: P
Well, the main body of this article ends here. It's too late to move. Anyway, it's just my personal experience. I hope everyone can provide their own ideas and work together to make their love better: P
Finally, as a supplement, I want to mention two mistakes that I often see, which are also the problems of lighting, so I won't digress here ... that is, the angle that the light source hits the eyes and reflects into the lens is 90 degrees, so such lighting must be avoided, otherwise it will be the effect shown below. Watch your eyes:
The second is the light distribution order. Many people like to put all kinds of lights on, turn them on and shoot according to the light distribution scheme. This habit is not good, we should get into the habit of adjusting each light source separately by patting. For example, when we shoot catalpa meow, we put the main light first, and then shoot it with a single main light to see if there is any wrong angle, whether the spot shape of the dark part of the face is standard, and so on ...
Then just look at the effect of matt (the picture is gone again, sweat-? -)
Finally, it was all adjusted before it was all turned on to shoot the final effect.
Ok, this nonsense is really over, please correct me a lot ~ ~
