Selection of room lights

Commercial photographers mostly rely on their own studios, so foreign photographers have always attached great importance to the input of studios, spending about twice as much as photographic equipment. Studio lamps of foreign brands ("Ai Linglong" and "Bao Rong", etc. ) are very expensive, and most photographers in China use domestic brands. It is not difficult to fully understand the performance of lamps, but it takes a lot of effort. I visited several photo studios and spent a whole day in the photographic equipment city. I was almost mistaken for a "commercial spy" and finally got some "truths" about choosing lights.

First of all, commercial studios should have style, and the appearance of lamps is very important. Some brands of lamps have rough appearance, uneven seams, poor feel of keys and fingers, and even found that the lamp mouth is crooked and the assembly accuracy is poor. Although it will not have a big impact on shooting, I always think that photography is a serious matter and cannot be sloppy. Black is a common color of photographic equipment, which is also beneficial to inhibit the production of dirty spots, and is the preferred appearance color of lamps.

Secondly, because most studios are not very big, generally 300W or 400W lights are enough, not just big ones. Although the lamps with large index have the upgrade advantage of expanding the cinema area in the future, some lamps are narrower than the adjustable range. If the cinema is too small, it will seriously affect the use, but it is not as good as cheap low-power lights.

Third, the lamp tube is the core of the studio lamp. China brand basically uses German Hyman flash tube. Color temperature and reliability are the focus of attention. Professional digital studio flash has infrared synchronization and wireless digital synchronization remote control, which has a large remote control range, excellent anti-interference, is not affected by ambient light, and has almost no synchronization dead angle, so it should be given priority when purchasing. The length of call back time is another important indicator. Full-time quick call back is suitable for high-intensity work, which is more conducive to snapshot. Fast charging can make photographers more focused and not worry about the performance of lamps. If photographers do a lot of outdoor shooting, priority should be given to the power box, which has advanced electronic control system, fast charging and stable output, and is the standard configuration for industrial product photography, fashion photography and fast dynamic photography. In order to meet the photographer's professional photography requirements, when choosing the power box, we should pay attention to complete functions, independent calculation by microcomputer, 1- 1/32 stepless dimming and high-speed synchronous flashing.

Fourthly, the advantages of using flexible box are uniform and soft light and high color saturation. Materials must pay attention to the selection of thick and durable reflective materials and soft and light fabrics, with strong workmanship and convenient disassembly. At present, the popular spherical soft cover (octagonal soft cover) has a large irradiation area and is suitable for use in narrow spaces. It is very convenient to use in places where there are many reflective objects such as hotels, bathrooms, restaurant decoration and kitchen furniture. The dome light soft box is suitable for large and medium-sized cinemas, not for rooms with too small area. Sun umbrellas are also very popular in foreign countries. They have large irradiation area, strong stereoscopic impression and excellent color reproduction, and are suitable for highlighting the wonderful changes of eye light. The disadvantage is that it occupies too much land and is expensive.

Fifth, some brands have long production time and good reputation, such as Golden Eagle, Guangbao, Jinbei, U2 and other domestic brands. The first few lamps pay attention to the convenience of use and adjustment in the studio, while U2 lamp pays more attention to external shooting performance and portability.

Sixthly, there are two kinds of continuous light source lamps: sun lamp and quartz lamp, which are suitable for different purposes. The sun lamp has a color temperature of 5400K and uses metal halide bulbs, which is suitable for shooting fashion and portraits. Quartz lamp, with a color temperature of 3200K, is a common light source for wedding dresses, artistic photos and the pursuit of low-color warm tone effect.

Pay attention to dust prevention during maintenance, and put it in a dry and ventilated place when not in use. Like ordinary flashlights, frequent charging and discharging will prolong the service life of high withstand voltage capacitors.
