Portfolio requirements for visual design graduate students at Hongik University

1. Visual communication: It is more inclined towards photography, design, image, layout and other directions other than the direction of corporate products.

2. Industrial design: more inclined to product design, space design, transportation design, industrial drawings and other directions.

If you are applying for graduate school, it is still recommended to have Korean level 4 or above (although the admission brochure says you can apply for level 3), preferably advanced level (level 5 or level 6).

The design major of Hongik University is ranked high both in Korea and Asia, so I will fully consider it.

For a portfolio, you can sort out your works (either art works or assignments from this major) and submit them together when you apply.

Of course, you also need time to prepare works related to visual communication. It is best to create projects in a series of 2-4 themes, with each project having 5-10 pages of layout and translation.
