Among them, Tongque and Zhonglu Campus are collectively called the first campus in Seoul, and Ancheng Campus in Gyeonggi Province, which is an hour's drive from Seoul, is the second campus. Seoul Tongque Campus faces the Han River and is surrounded by green hills, which can be described as a mountain and a river. The main entrance of the school is the modern building of R & D Research Building, next to the European Founder Memorial Hall of Central University built at 1938. The Central Library and other buildings designed and built by famous Korean architect Jin Renzhe complement each other with beautiful natural scenery. Many Korean movies and TV series, such as My Girlfriend is a Nine-tailed Fox, Korean Prank Kiss, were shot in Central University. Central University was founded in April of 19 18. The prototype at that time was the Central Church Kindergarten in Rensidong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. At that time, the purpose of establishing kindergartens was to spread democratic consciousness to parents while educating children. Since 1922, the major of women's normal education has been established. From 65438 to 0933, the Korean peninsula was under the colonial rule of Japanese imperialism, and the school encountered many political and economic difficulties. At the age of 34, Ms. Ren Yongxin resolutely accepted the Central Institute of Conservation and became the principal. 1938, she built the first school building-"Yongxin Pavilion" on the site of Heishidong. From 65438 to 0948, the school enrolled students from all social groups, no longer limited to gender. From 65438 to 0954, the school has become a comprehensive university with 4 single-subject universities, 19 professional and graduate schools and 2850 teachers and students. Since then, majors have been increased, and affiliated primary schools, junior high schools and senior high schools have been established. 1978, the affiliated hospital of the school, Chengxin Hospital, was established and gradually formed a veritable comprehensive university. 1979 Central University established a new campus in Ancheng. 1March, 982, Seoul Tongque Middle Road Campus was officially named as the first campus and Ancheng Campus as the second campus. For the balanced development of the two campuses, the school invested a lot of money in Ancheng Campus, and successively built a large number of facilities such as classrooms, laboratories, research rooms, sports grounds and student dormitories. 1960, the Korean people's struggle led by Korean students ended Li Chengwan's dictatorship. The first successful democratic movement in Korean history was initiated by students from Central University. Six students bled to death in the struggle, becoming the university that sacrificed the largest number of students among many universities. In order to commemorate the dead college students, Ms. Ren Yongxin, then president of Central University, set up a monument to martyrs in the school and wrote "Live for truth, live for justice". This sentence later became the school spirit of Central University. By pursuing justice and truth, students can establish a correct outlook on life and world, become outstanding talents with both ability and political integrity, and make contributions to the development of society and the country. In order to improve the competitiveness among universities, the Korean Ministry of Education and Resources and the public opinion media comprehensively evaluate and rank universities every year. In the comprehensive evaluation, Central University has been rated as the best university for education reform for six consecutive years. In the comprehensive evaluation of 204 universities in China by Central Daily News in 20 12, Central University was not only rated as the top ten universities with comprehensive strength, but also ranked the first among Korean disciplines in journalism, drama, film and photography. Time of establishment (19 18- 1945)

Central University was founded in April of 19 18, and was built in Rensidong Central Church Kindergarten in Jongno-gu, Seoul. The kindergarten was first founded by Christian missionaries in 19 16, and then operated at the expense of the government, making it subordinate to the central church. The purpose of establishing kindergartens at that time was not only to educate children, but also to spread national consciousness among parents through children's education. Therefore, since 1922, women's normal education has been formally established in the central kindergarten. At that time, kindergarten teachers trained by the central kindergarten were sent to Xianxing, Hui Ling, Busan, Mashan, Quanzhou, Anyang, Tianan, Shaliyuan, Yang Mi and other parts of the country to engage in educational activities. Since then, the central kindergarten has been upgraded to a central nursing college. At that time, the Korean peninsula was under the colonial rule of Japanese imperialism, and the Central Conservation Institute not only encountered many difficulties economically, but also suffered great pressure from all sides politically. The Central Institute of Protection 1933 was supported by Ms. Ren Yongxin and served as the director of the Institute. After that, she bought a property in the area of Heishidong, and the central nursing home moved to the campus of Heishidong. The Pffifer consortium established by Ms. Ren Yongxin in the United States received financial support, and the first school building-"Yongxin Pavilion" was built in the former site of Heishidong in 1938. 1945 Central Conservation College was renamed Central Women's College.

Transition period of developing into a comprehensive university (1946- 1979)

1945 the establishment of the central women's college is a key step in the transformation from 1948 to an ordinary university for men and women. In the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Ren Yongxin not only served as the senior of Central University and the chairman of the consortium, but also as a member of the ruling Democratic Party, South Korea sent her permanent representative to the United Nations. During this period, she not only did a lot of work for Korea, but also made important contributions to the development of the school. Central University held the first bachelor's degree awarding ceremony in 1950, and the second, third and fourth bachelor's degree awarding ceremonies in Busan temporary campus in1-1953. 1954 The school returned to Seoul campus. At this time, the school has become a comprehensive university with 4 single-subject universities, 19 professional and graduate schools and 2850 teachers and students. Since then, since the 1960s, colleges have been continuously added, and affiliated primary schools, middle schools and high schools have been added. 1965,65438+10, the number of economic and trade universities and pharmaceutical universities increased, expanding to six single-subject universities. By 1968, there are 8 single-subject universities, namely, liberal arts university, polytechnic university, normal university, law university, political and economic university, management university, agricultural university and pharmaceutical university. 197165438+February, Medical University was established; 1978, the affiliated hospital of the university, Chengxin Hospital, was established, gradually forming a veritable comprehensive university.

Establish the second campus and increase the number of graduate schools (1980- 1990)

1979 Central University has established a new campus in Ancheng. 198 1 There are foreign language universities, social science universities and home economics universities in Ancheng Campus. Officially named 1982 in March: Seoul campus is the first campus; Ancheng Campus is the second campus. For the balanced development of the two campuses, in Ancheng Campus, the music subject of Art University was upgraded to Music University in June 1982 and June 10; 1September, 983, agricultural university developed into industrial university; 1984 10 The newly established Jianshe University and Graduate School, Ancheng Campus has the scale of seven single-subject universities. Later, a large number of new facilities such as teaching classrooms, laboratories, research rooms, offices, sports grounds and student dormitories were built one after another. Moreover, most of the graduate schools in 12 were built around this period.

Strengthen the period of steady improvement of educational concept (1990-)

On the basis of expanding the scale of running a school, the school entered a period of steady improvement of teaching quality from 1990. The national education authorities have taken a series of rectification measures to improve the quality of running schools, introduce competition mechanisms, and encourage universities to survive and develop in fair competition. Facing the grim situation, the school has formulated the Long-term and Short-term Development Plan of Central University (1993 -2002): adjusting institutions, improving teaching quality, improving administrative efficiency, implementing performance-based pay system, and establishing the idea that all school work should serve students, teaching and scientific research. To this end, all departments began to implement the self-evaluation system. Later, according to the relevant provisions of the national education reform, the school established the "Self-evaluation Committee for Promoting Education Reform" to carry out standardized self-evaluation activities more effectively.
