How to use the soft lens of the camera

Soft cover: a translucent plastic plate installed in front of the flash lamp, which can change the color temperature of the light emitted by the flash lamp.

Suitable for use when the color temperature of light source is inconsistent.

For example:

The studio is illuminated by many incandescent lamps, and the color of the whole room looks yellow. When the flash is not turned on, the automatic white balance will set the color temperature within the incandescent lamp range to ensure that the subject's skin color is closest to the color you see.

However, if you are using flash, you can try automatic file. The background of the photos taken is generally underexposed, and the face will turn purple. The reason is that you used multiple light sources when shooting. These light sources have different color temperatures. No matter how the white balance of the camera is adjusted, the best solution is to unify the color temperatures of the light sources (at least make them close). The incandescent lamp in the room can't be changed. The flash can be changed. Flash is an instantaneous light source with a fixed color temperature. If you want to change its color temperature, just add a filter to the lamp holder. This is our job.

Softening mask function:

1, divergent light, so that the dazzling direct light emitted by the flash lamp diverges, so that the irradiated object receives light evenly.

2. Change the color temperature of the flash, and install white, blue and orange soft masks as needed.
