How do parents accompany their children in the lower grades of primary school

1. Don't do homework, my father is kind and filial; When doing homework, chickens fly and dogs jump.

After children go to school, one of the most common things they have to face is homework. Accompanying children with homework is definitely a test of patience and perseverance. Before her daughter went to school, she saw a paragraph on the Internet: No homework, filial piety between father and son; When doing homework, chickens fly and dogs jump. What's more, I was so angry that I bumped into the table and broke my bones because I was doing homework with my children.

I didn't know this was no joke until my daughter started in grade one. I am ashamed to say that when my daughter first started doing her homework, I was anxious to yell at her. One is writing. After I repeatedly analyzed the shelf structure of words, the key points to pay attention to in writing and the position of words in Tian Zige, my daughter still couldn't write well, so I couldn't hold my breath. Another time is the division and combination of memorizing numbers (actually addition and subtraction), which can be counted clearly, but I can't say it according to the teacher's requirements anyway. I couldn't hold back again when I saw other parents uploading videos recited by their children one by one. In the evening, I kept asking my daughter to recite the division and combination of numbers for three hours, but under my anger, my daughter's recitation efficiency was actually zero.

After two incidents, I began to reflect on myself. This is not my daughter's problem, but my own.

It is the right way for parents to control their mentality.

I saw a news before that a bank employee won the employee of the year. Some colleagues are unconvinced: "There is nothing outstanding in her business. Why is she the employee of the year? " The department manager led the unconvinced colleague to the lobby: "You see, every time she talks to the children who come here, she squats down and puts herself at the same height as the children. It is terrible that you are' condescending'! "

This sentence struck me in the heart. Why should I ask my daughter about her proficiency in writing and solving math problems for decades? Since the "chicken flying dog jumping" twice, I silently asked myself that this kind of thing must not happen for the third time. It will be better to write bad words several times, and it will be faster to calculate math problems that are not skilled enough.

Since you don't judge your daughter yourself, you shouldn't judge your daughter by your classmates' standards. My daughter and I grew up together, knowing that she is average in math and has no extraordinary talent. The daughter is almost the youngest in the class. At their age, the advantages brought by age are undoubtedly enormous. In addition, many children at work have attended cram schools, so the knowledge of starting school in this area will be very advantageous. However, with the growth of age, this advantage will be exhausted. What really reflects children's Chinese and math achievements is their reading ability and logical ability. I still remember when I was in primary school, I was left behind by a teacher to recite the multiplication table after class. I was almost the slowest in my class, but it didn't affect my primary school stage at all except for a little influence at that time. I get full marks or close to full marks in math every time. Practice makes perfect. You might as well add and subtract with your mouth as a grocer who has never been to school.

After all this, I still think that it is the right choice for me not to let my daughter go to the "young convergence" class in the summer vacation.

3. Do you need to study in advance?

Daughter was born in August (now from 1 in September last year to 3 1 in August of that year). She is almost the youngest child in the class. The younger she is, the weaker her understanding is. In principle, she belongs to the children who need to attend the young bridging class most, but I didn't teach her any first-grade knowledge in advance, let alone attend the young bridging class, except to teach her pinyin at home.

I did this for two reasons.

First of all, I looked through the textbooks of grade one and consulted my teacher. The core knowledge points are almost the same. I can master all the knowledge just in class, not to mention my daughter's help now.

Secondly, I remember that one of my children appeared in front of me a few years ago. He just learned a lot of knowledge in advance, and he will listen in class the same way, and gradually developed the habit of not listening well.

As for Pinyin, the reason why I let my daughter study in advance is to let her have more contact with different extracurricular books. Nowadays, many reading materials have pinyin books, so it is certainly beneficial to read more different books. No book will be read in vain, and they will affect her life subtly. Everything her daughter says in the future will be at the back of an article or a book. Based on this, I think the key lies in reading more books and developing good study habits, rather than learning the knowledge itself in advance.

Do you need a lot of extracurricular exercises?

In addition to in-class exercises, after-class exercises can now be described as flooding. Can doing a lot of extracurricular exercises improve children's grades? I believe I can.

Is this necessary? That's a matter of opinion.

We all came from our school days. Students' extracurricular exercises have two functions, one is to increase their proficiency in doing problems, the other is to develop new questions around knowledge points and increase students' knowledge.

First of all, I don't think it is necessary to be in the lower grades of primary school. A lot of repeated exercises can improve children's grades from 95 to 100. If it was originally at the level of 100, it would only increase the time for writing papers from 60 minutes to 30 minutes. What's the point? Why not stay here and read more books that will change your life in the future?

As for the second point, I think it is still necessary, so my approach is that I will still buy some of these extracurricular exercises, and then pick out some new questions and do them with my daughter. If my daughter can do and understand, that's the best, then I'll try to solve the problem myself, improve the difficulty of the problem, and then let her try; If I can't do it, I will come up with a few relatively simple questions, divide the one-meter-high fence into several steps, and finally I can reach the height of one meter. When she finishes, I will set up several new steps so that my daughter can try more difficult questions. The advantage of doing this is that it can not only improve her daughter's knowledge level in the least time, but also exercise her daughter's habit of thinking diligently, so that she can form a "dimensionality reduction blow" to ordinary problems in the future (for example, it is much easier to learn photography after learning aesthetics). It is very important to improve the speed of solving problems in junior and senior high schools. In the lower grades of primary school, it is enough to complete all the contents of the test paper within the prescribed time. Of course, if your child has a super brain, you can specialize in it.

How much time is saved? There are many things to do. For my daughter, I asked her to read more books and get in touch with her hobbies.

Health is the capital of revolution.

I was a very boring person in primary school. I did well in the exam, but I didn't read much extra-curricular books. When I was a child, the only extracurricular activity was Go (which could have been a great hobby in my later life), but after I took the Olympiad class in the third grade of primary school, I finally made a decision not to play Go, and I regret it to this day.

When I was at school, I studied in addition to studying; After work, work or work. Whether studying or working, although there are always challenges that make people feel fresh at first, it is a pity that once you are familiar with all this, work and study will gradually become repetitive mechanical labor. At this time, I can't find any means to mediate my emotions, which makes me feel that the process of studying or working is sometimes particularly boring.

My daughter took an early education class in Gymboree for a while, and I noticed that she especially likes music in all Gymboree courses. So on our daughter's third birthday, we gave her a toy ukulele. Daughters can't put it down, especially Creary. She often takes it out, hums songs that are not allowed, and plucks the strings casually. At the right age, we invited Creary's teacher to teach her to play the Creary.
