Pavilion, swimming pool, multi-functional gym, etc. The school's art center has a dedicated cinema, practice room, painting room, photography room, etc. Each activity and practice venue has equipment rental, competition clothing rental and dry cleaning, practice guidance coaches, etc. Everything is very thoughtful for students. The school also has an indoor multi-functional public activity center, which can accommodate more than 2,200 people and is a place for holding various large-scale activities, performances, and banquets.

Bates has a library and student cafeteria. Bates College shares many resources with Bowdoin and Colby College, including library collections. Students from either college have unimpeded access to books from the other two colleges. Therefore, students do not need to worry about not having the necessary information when doing projects or research. The college has a convenient and fast campus network, and students can access knowledge and information resources online anytime and anywhere. The college once considered whether to build another canteen, but in the end students voted down the school's proposal because many people felt that it was not in line with the college's close-knit community concept: if the canteen is scattered and resources are dispersed, students will be out of control. Choosing a fixed dining hall for convenience or taste reduces the chance of meeting other students; and this sense of alienation is what many Bates students fear.

The school is a member of the NCAA, and intercollegiate sports include: baseball, basketball, cross-country running, field hockey, American football, golf, ice hockey, lacrosse, sailing, skiing, swimming and more. At the college, you can gain more practical experience through seminars, research activities, service learning, and the design of some graduation thesis. Most students participate in various clubs and some on-campus activities; some students take performing arts classes; students all show off that they live in the most exciting place in the world and can do anything imaginable and learn quite a wealth of knowledge.

The Brooks Quimby Debate Council has a long history and has existed since the college was founded in 1855. The Bates debate team's confidence in calling itself "one of the world's premier debating society" is no exaggeration. In addition to competing in the American Parliamentary Debate Association, its debate team members also participate in various international debate competitions, such as World University Debate Competition and achieved numerous extraordinary results. For example, in 2013, members of the debate team successfully defeated students from Princeton University, Harvard University, Brown University, and Swarthmore in one of the most prestigious debate competitions in the United States, the Yale Intervarsity Tournament. The debate team of the college, etc., won the title of champion. Although there is a lot of talent, the college debate team welcomes any member who is willing to join, and there is no threshold limit.
