After nearly four months' efforts, the symbol of Taiyuan subway was finally determined by comprehensively considering many factors such as aesthetics, identification, application, regionality and industry characteristics.

The subway logo not only carries the image and spirit of the city, but also inherits the history and culture of the city. More importantly, it shows the future of the city. This logo design does not use the English letter M and the subway shape used by most subway signs in the world, but uses the Chinese seal "Tai" which best represents Taiyuan's long history and profound culture. The graphic takes the Chinese character "Tai" as its creative source. On the premise of not losing the basic frame structure of square Chinese characters, the equidistant form with modern ideas is adopted to carry out fashion design with traditional cultural elements. It is intended to show and carry forward the distinctive national cultural characteristics, and also to highlight the regionality and uniqueness of the industry. 2. Overall graphics The chip outline of Fiona Fang constitutes the basic form of logo, expressing a technology, a future, a symbol and inheritance of culture, which is like a China seal. The organic combination of China ancient seal and modern chip expresses the inheritance and bright future of ancient culture and modern science and technology.
